Getting the economy going was the right thing to do do but the issues were things like Eat out to help out..

Rishi Sunak gets away with murder. He's been a shambles as well. Furlough leaves 3m people out then his Eat Out to help out with no strict laws. You only need to drive down Leeds Rd on a Mon-Weds to see social distancing wasn't happen. Also he knew unemployment would be high and still isn't really offering anything anything to new business start up's, self empoyment or anything..The man is a joke!

Cummings was the main start of everyone giving the 2 fingers. The country is a mess under Boris and his team.

A two week lockdown where you can still go to work and still go to school. They’ve lost the plot and no longer know what to do. They know that what they should have achieved by now with testing has fallen over and so are panicking.
These local lockdowns have done nothing at all to stop the spread

I live it when they say work will stay open but then say pubs will close, gyms will close etc. Do they think no one works in these places, or do they just mean OFFICEs will stay open.

Just workplaces which their mates own the buildings to so they can keep the rents topped up usually.

    three bits I suppose.

They could - I'm not sure they didn't to be honest but it depends what the "height" is defined as - From the 18th May everyone with symptoms was told to get a test. That's only a snapshot though because the asymptomatic people change the picture on a daily basis without anyone knowing.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-52681464

"They have taken information methods that are normally used by law enforcement to catch tax evaders or to track criminals, and they've repurposed those for public health use."
He describes three types of information being used:
    • Credit and debit card transactions - they can show where someone has shopped or eaten, and how they have travelled across a transport network
    • Phone location logs obtained from mobile operators giving a rough idea of which neighbourhood someone is in as they connect to different phone masts
    • Details captured by South Korea's extensive network of surveillance cameras

I agree, experience in previous pandemics will obviously help. But weirdly poor countries will have some advantages, lower expectations from citizens, less transportation, lower parameters for data management, etc.

Only way to make Track and Trace work is to make it mandatory. So if you are tested positive you have to give the details under threat of fines or worse, and those to be enforced. That should push up the numbers taking part, obviously people can still give false/no info, but it should reduce it

And they won't mate. It's just a pause. It's not the answer.

The problem with this government is that they are asking people to do things in other countries the government tell people what they have to do.

The reason for that is because 14m got suckered in to Boris and his people pleasing style. He thinks people are idiots and suckers so wants to carry that on.

As I say anyone that still believes in Boris Johnson is a bloody idiot!

    More restrictions for Bradford now,

Can't gather with anybody at all from outside your household in your home or garden until at least the 22nd.

God knows where it goes if this doesn't work!

The only change is those in the wards released are now back in restrictions.

And if this doesn't work, it hasn't worked since July.

With no enforcement it's all just hot air.

    It's like a road with a 30mph limit, with some going 40mph.
Reducing the limited to 20mph won't stop those speeding, the ones following the 30mph will follow the 20mph, but those going 40mph will just carry on if there is no enforcement of it.

    Perfect analogy.

It makes a difference if you get hit by a driver going at 20 though

Noun: a situation that has been comprehensively mismanaged, characterized by a string of blunders and miscalculations.

Sounds like something you would expect to see on Edins CV.
