COVID-19

Just been looking at some figures for how many people In the UK die Of cancer it turns out On average it’s 450 a day my three siblings by example all died from it and all younger than me it also took my mother and father.
When the Covid has passed cancer and other terrible diseases will still be here wouldn’t it be great if the same effort and amount of money and urgency was put into finding a cure

 

My youngest daughter is a kidney match for my eldest, as yet she's just staying above the reading where she would have to go on dialysis.
Before this Covid-19 her consultant was saying she would possibly get her transplant sometime this year they wouldnt wait for her kidney to deteriorate any more.
I'm not sure if it will be this year now, and also not sure how she feels about going into hospital that we know are not the best places if you have a low immune system she's not spoke about if since her last check up.
As you say after this fantastic effort from everyone it would be great if the same sort of funding could be found, although we know its more involved that throwing money it.

 

As I’ve said before not sure he will last 5 years. So far he hasn’t backed up his promises, either before or since he became PM. He will get brexit sorted but that’s all he will be useful for

 

Not backed up his promises he has unfortunately delivered Brexit and he is six months into his reign most of which we have had the virus give the bloke a chance

 

I get what others are saying but we will only now that when and if that time comes, such a shame this pandemic is the main thing on most peoples minds but totally understandable..

He went missing in Jan/Feb.. allowed Cheltenham and football to continue. He's let Hancock be a liability when it comes to testing & PPE, he didn't is the labs that were here to help speed things up for the NHS, didn't stop international travel, millions losing their jobs, businesses closing and now backs Cummings!

some people are being tested twice or even three times and these are being counted each time.. the government claim was specifically that 100k people would be tested - not that 100k tests would be carried out. this distortion between tests carried out on people vs simply the number of tests being done can inflate figures.

notice how since it came out that they were counting a nose swab and a throat swab as two tests on one person (but both have to be completed for the test to be complete) the data for people tested has not been available.

Conservatives just damaging themselves. Beaches open but millions on Furlough.. wouldn't it make sense announce the Furlough changes, get offices back open then open beaches?
