A minister in the Scottish Tory party didnt realise they had opposition parties in Scotland, he'll have plenty of time on his hands to have thought this one up.

Your first paragraph is hardly surprising, it's what opposition parties do, they see an opening to discredit the government in power and hope it detracts from their disastrous showing in the last General Election.
How about the three Labour MPs who broke social distancing in lockdown, here this is from The Guardian: https://amp-theguardian-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/amp.theguardian.com/politics/2020/mar/29/stephen-kinnock-targeted-by-police-for-visiting-father-neil?amp_js_v=a3&_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQFKAGwASA%3D#aoh=15904836435855&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theguardian.com%2Fpolitics%2F2020%2Fmar%2F29%2Fstephen-kinnock-targeted-by-police-for-visiting-father-neil

Yes he has it in him just like when he missed a important debate on Universal Credit that effected lots of his constituents to be a linesman at a football match collecting the fee, Yes he certainly has standards

Course he did , it's the way to go...
What I can't understand is all these newspapers that are attacking Cummings are dying on their arse, circulation dropping like a stone then they target minority groups to promote their product...!!

Its all a waste of time with Cummins because if he resigns or is sacked from his job he will just set up a consultancy and be hired straight back!!!

    Nonsense.
Cummings relishes being a deliberately divisive and controversial figure. He loves the notoriety. It's his trademark. He's loathed by many Tory MPs because he's so arrogant and dismissive of anyone who dares to disagree with him. If you set out to court controversy you can't complain when you get it. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

While ill he was required to stay completely indoors - no exercising or going outside for anything. So a few reporters outside his door would have been neither here nor there. What did he think they were going to do - break in? It's the most pathetic excuse imaginable. Well, apart from the idea that he drove 26 miles on his wife's birthday to 'test his eyes'. Jeez, just how gullible does he think we are?

The screens outside his home etc were in response to his hypocritical journey north - ie after the event. Nothing to do with why he decided to break the rules and take his infection back into No10, to a hospital and 260 miles north to a largely non infected area.

What this is really about is the government saying one thing for us and doing another thing for them. Even the Daily Mail can see that. But you can't. Big surprise.

Yup. Inexcusable. If his constituents force him to resign then so be it.
The difference is that Kinnock wasn't the one making the clear rule to stay at home and put up with with it, as millions have done, and then ignoring it.

Yes, of course political opposition's will seek to make capital. But it's quite unusual for them to meet up to coordinate that. The point I was making that, despite you saying, 'he's staying' there is a lot more mileage in this story yet and the outcome is uncertain. If other ministers join in the resignations it will build pressure. There may come a point (I'm saying may, not will) where the issue becomes too undermining even for the serial scarperer Johnson to duck.

I was lstening last night with regards the situation and it was Cummings who advised the party that they should repay the Northern voters with more investment for changing their allegiance and voting Tory, maybe as a northern lad he see's how badly the North have been treated in the past under governments ?.

It’s not happened yet has it? Andy Burnham released figures and it’s worse than it ever was. I’ll dig it out for you. It was in relation to covid19 grants

So Manchester got around £33 million extra funding for Covid and typically sees that as a cut

Not sure what you implying, we are 5 months into a new government we have been hit (as most countries in the world have) with Covid-19 so hardly a chance to rebalance the spending.
Now with regards Covid-19 London was the epicentre of the majority of cases so I would not think putting quick money into that area is unreasonable, they then commandeered other venues to fight the virus if the NHS needed them as hospitals were unable to take more cases.

I was implying it hasn’t happened yet that they would change the divide on spending. can you honestly see it happening after Covid had cleared? I can’t.

I've already said after voting for them with regards Brexit I was more than happy to hear Boris said he was humbled that Labour supporters had changed a habit of a lifetime voting Red to support his government and he would make sure his government started to redress the great Noth/South divide.
Do I believe him, yes, he has 5 years to show me and many other past Labour supporters he's as good as his word.
But to judge this government on the first 5 months in power is a little unfair but you wont be alone.

Boris is a poor leader and if you can't see that now then I can help you. You don't need 5 years. The man is a liar!
