Young kids don't really catch it.

Also you are in danger for damaging kids mental health if you go on about social distancing too much.

Other countries are opening primary school and I fully expect our rubbish government to do the same in May.

Laptops or tablets will be provided for some deprived 15-year-olds who do not already have access to a computer.

Education Secretary Gavin Williamson said it will "take the pressure" off parents with children at home.

@Storck@Storck so it's for 15 year olds only that get laptops and 4G.

No it's not, it's completely true.
He's on record as wanting to privatise the NHS.
Raab has been part of the cabinet that deliberately ignored and buried the report which said we were hopelessly unprepared for a pandemic.
He's been part of the government that ran down our PPE stocks to shamefully low levels.
It's dereliction of duty, pure and simple. And rank hypocrisy.

Germany has (apparently) the best healthcare system in Europe. It’s part privatised, funded by a combination of government funding and privatised contributions. I’m far from an expert, but it reads like an intriguing system. Privatising some aspects of the healthcare system COULD be a good idea, with the right controls and governance. The management of the NHS needs to be MUCH more efficient, but there are also need to be minimum standards that private owners couldn’t nickel and dime beyond. It’s a complex proposition.

Companies are going to do that anyway but longer this goes on the more jobs go. The lack of telling people what next is going to cost businesses and people's jobs.

People in America know this hence why they want to back to work. UK people need to wake up to it! Parliament on Tuesday- all back to work them. They don't care about you and your bills!

My advice is to make sure you keep sales people because they're more vital than ever.

We don’t have sales people. Different businesses will need to adapt differently.

I think the furlough system is a great idea in principle. But many businesses have clearly had difficulty accessing financial support issued by the government. I think much of that is down to the banks though. The government misjudged the extent to which the major banks would close ranks. They’re not going to start offering loans to businesses at risk without very clear underwriting of debt and risk from the government which clearly wasn’t detailed when the scheme was announced.

I don’t see what difference going back now makes to another 6 weeks for example. We will kill more people and totally overwhelm our healthcare system which is in some parts struggling already. Jobs will return. New companies will be started up to take over gaps in the market. It’s capitalism it will slowly recover.

As I keep saying you or any government cannot being people back to life. So stop worrying about numbers on a computer and jobs “lost” they will recover

Jobs won't return though. This a global thing and hitting all sectors. It's not as straight forward as recessions before.

It makes a difference as business plan and worry. Cash flow will be low then panic sets in.

Jobs WILL return. But its a question of when, and the damage that’s incurred in the meantime. For example, suppose EVERY airline goes bust. There’ll still be a demand for air travel again at some point, so new airlines will be born. But it’ll take time.

Who would build or run the airlines mate? it's not as straight forward as that.

Jobs won't return that quickly at all.

Conservatives need to get people back to work! If the Furlough payments mess up over the next few days or the self employed don't get their money easy June then I fear for Boris and Rishi.

Don’t be daft Fordy. A load of planes sat idle, pilots and flight crew with no work, airports desperate to get going again so will likely reduce rates, passengers at least in some quarters desperate to travel.....its a goldmine for someone with the cash.

You’re supposed to be a titan of industry man!

I can see it now.... Ford airlines.... no passenger too small....

It’s true though. There’ll be carcasses of previously very viable businesses for new investors to swoop in. And crisis presents opportunity.

100%.. got my eye on a few things... it's going to be a true test for businesses in a few months.

Many of those that don't spend will go under.

You say you fear for Boris & Rishi, I assume from that comment you mean they might lose their jobs (very doubtful) so they could be replace with better in your opinion, they wont be replaced by a Labour government for at least another 5 year plus and very doubtful Labour could overturn a 80+ seat majority, so explain your above comment, just who is going to take over ?.

For those who miss the round-and-round conversations about 'who would replace the current chairman', we've now got 'who would replace the current Prime Minister'
