wrt the "quarantine protests" over here. I saw a bit yesterday on the news and was struck by just how white and middle to older middle aged most of the protesters were. Now trust me, I don't have anything against older middle aged white people (that'll be me) but I couldn't help noticing they were all protesting in states with a democrat governor. Later, on a different channel, it was announced that all this was arranged by some Tea Party type group. So basically what you'd expect. In other news, the biggest processor and producer of pork products in the States has been shut down with over 500 positive cvd-19 tests. Curiously, the governor has refused to enact a "stay at home" law for the state. Hmm, I wonder why.

 

Weird though it might seem people over 70 die at a faster rate than undrr 70s

No other country has come out of lockdown after only 3 weeks. We know this is going to take around 12 weeks and then I’d imagine a partial lockdown. I am sure you would have been the first on here moaning if we got another spike in a couple of weeks.

The economy will recover and bounce back. No government can bring people back to life and that’s why we need to wait this out

Give it to charities which don't have a CEO robbing a 6 figure salary out of it for a few weeks work a year.
