Wimbledon don’t play with wingers so Connolly didn’t really fit. This may change though if they get a new manager (current manager suspended I believe).

No @Park bantam@Park bantam in his first post, went ont to talk about siging Cooke (Peterborough) and Connolly (Wimbledon) who are both on loan. Pritchard is our player on a two year contract. So no he initially was correct not to mention Pritchard who's position is very different, he then perhaps got a little confused by agreeing to include Pritchard.

Edin would have already offered Zeli Ismail six years, despite the fact he's struggled everywhere else and only played about 150 minutes for us!

I must confess Rod ........ When Park initially posted - I too was thinking about adding Pritchard. It was only later I realised my gaffe, as the lad is already 'ours', as you and others have said.

Tricky one that. It's one thing that the club don't want you, but it's another taking a drop in wages. If he continues to do well, then he'll consider himself in the shop window for a club who can match his wages, but at the same time, if he continues to do well with us, then he pretty much cements his place for a fixed term contract and regular football. He's only 22. Big decision for the lad coming up.

This is why, when signing wingers, i’d make a lie detector test mandatory Bronco

With those points in mind ...... A similar situation (or parallel) possibly exists involving Swindon, Doyle and ourselves. Surely 'someone' has to take a hit 'somewhere' ? Knowing City - It'll be us on both counts ! ;)

You should have left it. It’s one thing being able to spot physical and technical talent from the stands, but get a handle on their trust-worthyness, well, I was mightily impressed. Even Fordy can’t do that.

Having a bigger world fan base means nothing if you're sh&te.

We've a bigger fan base than most Championship, div 1 and 2 clubs but find ourselves in div 2 with fans making excuses for failure.

We should be a Championship club and Utd should be fight for the league/CL.

Really, you don't get the sort of world wide fanbase over night United have been at the fore of pre season games and midseason tours such as Asia etc, infact they have been at the forefront of most things football, they lead others followed.

Take "sh&te" out of your vocabluary and you'd be struggling mate.

I dont think thatll ever happen. Football works in cycles. Man Citys owners look here to stay, but it's only with the addition of Pep that they've become a world class side. Once he goes itll be interesting to see what happens.

The clubs who've always been in the top echelon in terms of family base, titles and commercial power will never stay away from the top for very long.

Of the two Manchester clubs I always had a soft spot for City possibly as I worked with a Man City fanatic and he waxed lyrical about the great City teams with Mike Summerbee, Franny Lee, Colin Bell, Neil Young, Dennis Tueart, Tony Book etc.
As you say things do go in cycles but Man United are amongst the elite along with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Juventus and 2 Milan clubs I can't see Man City getting into that sort of company soon as those clubs have been acheiving League wins, Cup wins both domestic and European for many years.
With regards Pep going he keeps dropping hints about who he and others think could take over when he goes.mentioning Arteta as his successor.

Man Utd's turnover was its biggest ever but differently to Man City they have owners who run it as a business which means turnover doesn't always mean extra spending. One thing Man City are cleverly doing though is building the infrastructure behind the scenes, instead of just spending on the first team. I'm going off on a tangent here but it will be very interesting to understand how Brexit may affect the big English clubs. They will struggle to import as much foreign youth which make up a big chunk of youth squads which some say may not be a bad thing, but in the adverse the likes of Sancho etc may not be able to go abroad to further their careers. There's talk of Arteta going to Everton
