Cooke and Connolly

Yes looking at Connolly knocking balls forward I've been tempted to say a few times you wont get to that and been proved wrong, very deceiving at times, where as Ismail is more about quick control and foot work.
Bowyer said in his post match interview yesterday when they get up to speed they will be a handful, I think both Swindon's full backs will vouch for that.

 

Good point Fordy but they are both a big improvement on what we had in League One last season plus age wise they are both okay.

 

Be that as it may Fordy, those are the facts. Stefan Rupp may release the cash if they keep performing for us as he may see a benefit to the club. He is a businessman at the end of the day.

I’d definitely try to keep Cooke. He seems to bring out the best of whoever he partners. Palmer looked like the player some thought we had signed and Akpan was much better yesterday alongside him.

I’m still undecided by Connolly. He has pace, tricks and gets folk off their seats. But for a winger, his end product is lacking. How many times yesterday did he (and Zeli) beat their man and then waste the cross! You’d think that the one thing a winger can do is to stick the ball in or around the right place after beating your man. To constantly over-hit it or even put it behind, us scandalous.

If he can sort that out, I’d definitely want to keep him.

I would say an investment in Man Ure is slightly less of a gamble than an investment in City. As a Liverpool fan you can't be that upset at whats going on at Old Trafford?

 

Ben Muirhead anyone? It's great being able to beat your man, but if you put more than half of the balls you're crossing into the stands instead of the box, then there's a reason you're playing in League 2. I like him, and if he can work on his end product, then for sure he's decent enough to play at a higher level.

 

I'd imagine that Swindon fans have been thinking the same about Doyle.

 

Manchester Utd are irrelevant!

They're the second club in Manchester and have been for a long time.

When fans think losing to a local rival is good because it stops another team winning the league then I know they've gone. Utd are irrelevant. Yesterday's fish and chip wrapper- an embarrassment!

I would never ever want us to lose to Leeds. Ever!!

You do know the biggest club in Manchester lost to Wolves 2 - 0 today and are really going to have a great run to get anywhere near Liverpool.
Seriously Manchester United are a far bigger club than Manchester City world wide, even though the Manchester City owners have far more money than the Glaziers.

 

Based on recent times and winning things .. no City are mate!

CIty need to win the Champions League and you will see them overtake Utd on all fronts.

Man City won't be classed as an elite club until they've won the CL.

 

Anyway back to Bradford City.
