Ok, so let's say that is true

The connection to Edin therefore leaving and other stuff "because Greg was practically Edin's right hand man" is tenuous at best - agree?

 

We’ve paid fees for Poleon, Hanson (what happened to him), McCartan, Brunker and more. Not a cat in hells chance we’ll get / got any money back. Not all his fault but somebody introduced these players to Rahic.

 

Seems like an odd move by Rhodes. Surely an official announcement thanking him for his services would be more fitting than telling a few supporters groups on the quiet like it's some big secret.

 

Do they need permission to "announce" anything? It's an independent publication, they can write what they like and arguably don't have to maintain reasonable relations with the club unlike the T&A and can therefore arguably be more candid.

 

I don't know how the Poleon in/out fees correlate, but Hanson and McCartan aren't so stupid on paper - and Brunker was never anybody's signing but Rahic's.

No one can tell me Abbott spotted an amateur German player and recommended we paid a fee for him, without at least being presented some extraordinary footage.

Don't get me wrong, the recruitment under Abbott has been awful, but he had a brief to meet and worked to it.

 

Is it a dangled carrot to keep them on side? You break the news in a positive way and we'll keep feeding you it. Same as with the supporters groups.

 

Ok. Having read the article they haven't announced it - I don't agree with your language there - they are speculating it could happen based on info from their sources.

It doesn't say in the woap article that Julian has told them or given permission for them to use his name as a source

They haven't been allowed. They can print what they want. They've come to that conclusion based on info from their sources. They don't need permission to print their articles!

How did they know he's leaving? People gossip all the time. Just like youre doing to be honest!

 

Hanson deal not stupid?

We pay a fee and spend 2 years developing him to his current standard.....which is half way up the National League for a team which hasn't win for 10 games.

That's value for money.

 

"the club" didn't tell woap, that's the logical answer to your question.

Woap were told by someone who doesn't represent "the club" and woap decided to print it (as is their right)

Here's another theory....

Woap see other supporter groups/forums gaining supporter backing. Woap decides they're going to aggressively speak out against Bradford City. Their actions gain them popularity. To keep showing a favourable side to supporters they decide to run a story saying Greg is leaving to show supporters they're itk and trustworthy, further enhancing their reputation.

All that last paragraph could be bollocks but see how easy it is to write a few logical sentences that make something look eminently plausible?

 

They might be going renegade and ..............interesting.

 

Ballcocks...have you read several of the other WOAP articles that have been written recently? Especially the one from 8th November about Rhodes return and getting behind the team? Obviously not.
