agree with this. Against Derby he was playing accurate early balls to Pointon and Chapman to give them more time to try and do their stuff. Also agree, as @wetherbywhaler alluded too. Both of those two lack end product. For all his twistng and turning I don't think Bobby actually creates much, and Chapmans decision making is poor at best

Well young Pointon is still learning and developing and needs confident happy professionals round him. Chappers just coming back from a long term injury. We know he needs time to start producing his best it happened last time he was injured. Trying to produce your best in a fraught dressing room atmosphere cannot be achieved.

 

Similar for us, as we left the ground the A12 split into 2 for roadworks, 50/50 chance and I took the right hand lane then couldn’t get back across for my turn-off, bloody idiots. Probs added another 20 mins detour?

You could see that at half time when coming off he was clearly not happy with way he was talking to team mates and staff

 

It's good to see clubs trying things though and bringing fans along on the journey rather than doing the same old, same old and just treading water, not willing to change

Stevenage built a new stand. They asked fans to stump up a debenture at different amounts. The agreement was that if they get promoted to league one they get their loan back and if they get promoted to the championship then they get more.

Not saying we'd replicate that exact same thing but it's a good example of bringing the fans with you on a project.

 

I doubt anyone would buy into any scheme looking at the Clubs track record

 

Well maybe never again a 25 year deal but maybe a 5 year ST might work.
Announce ST prices to rise to £300 next season then sell a 5 year ST for £1000 (if paid up front) or £1250 if paid by DD @ £20 per month. This deal limited to first 5000.
This raises 5 million immediately. If we can’t get promoted from league 2 with that then I’ll give up on this club.

 

Ditto! I knew the route backwards but it’s a completely different ballgame in the pitch dark! Same happened last year when it was the lads turn to drive, he got routed all the way through Essex and Suffolk because we hadn’t realised the A12 was shut Northbound from 2100. The absolute bell ends should have done it at 2200 knowing full well there was a football match on !

That sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. We already have a budget that is adequate enough to build a squad capable of promotion out of this league, but we waste it year after year. Providing a bigger budget will only mean we end up wasting even more money. What needs to change is how it is being spent.

 

That’s Southbound A12, but I get your drift. I hope you waved going past our old village, just off the A120 near Stortford. We were down there the other week, and the A120 roundabout at J8 of the 11 was a nightmare with the roadworks. The new A120 from Braintree to Stortford is a breeze, but daughter got stuck at Braintree roundabout on the way to the game yesterday for half an hour.

 

Folk think we need to throw millions atvit when we simply dont but your talking about people who gave Derbyshire an 18 month deal your talking about folk who gave Oliver a 3 year deal knowing that he was never gonna fit our tip tappy football

If Gents track record is every 3 players he brings in one may be right then you can see the problem straightaway ............. probably why we have such a big squad gets 30 in hoping we can get a good starting 11 on the pitch

 

3 year deal for Smith as well. That's at least 4k a week (quite possibly considerably a lot more), being spent on our forward options that could have been much better spent.

 

TBF by all accounts BP (and Chapman) did diddly squat the whole game where it mattered and has probably just had his arse handed to him on a plate by GA.
