He was speaking in the context of football, not life threatening illnesses.

I only watched the first half. Had a feeling what was gonna come in the second and I was partially right

Along with Crewe, Colchester were the worst side I've seen this season. They couldn't get the ball past the halfway line. They were literally gifting us possession in the first half an we only made them pay for it once. A well taken goal by Cook but barring that, we didnt trouble their keeper much at all.

Not a fan of Ridehalgh but his set pieces were a lot better than Smallwoods. feck knows why we changed that in the second half. Chapman had some good touches an what not but his decision making in the final third was poor.

Only player that comes out with any credit from todays performance is Tomkinson

Thank you. I'd never measure football up in the same light as real life trauma , to even mention it actually upset me a bit.

There's only one person to blame for that goal. Even once he'd lost the striker the half hearted attempt to get back for a block was embarrassing.

Perhaps it might even start to dawn on @1975citygent@1975citygent how far below league standard Taylor actually is.

"Tom Hopper's first goal for the U's."

Oh, have they just signed him? Oh no, he's played 36 times. What a club. The gift that keeps on giving.

I actually rather enjoyed that game, due to its comically low standard. I don't think I've seen a match in many a moon, that had some many miss placed passes and games of pinball in the box. I thought Smallwood was decent apart from his set pieces, and Tompkinson grew into the game nicely and has a good turn of pace. Harry "Luke Shaw" Chapman chose so many wrong options it was laughable. His arse is almost bigger than Robbie Blakes. Cookie showed he can score despite looking like a fat no neck bazza, but Oliver looked like he couldn't score in a month of Sundays. Pointon is good, but the sickly commentator love in whenever he has the ball, is a bit over the top. He should have stayed on. I thought Colchester were gonna snatch it at the end, which would have been my second ht/ft win in as many weeks. A draw was a fair result, as no team were remotely good enough to win. And as usual, just as I've watched a game of this quality, its followed by a cracker of a Premier League game just to nail firmly home that we're stuck at the bottom of the pile. I wish the board would leave, followed by Sparks and anyone else connected to this shambles. And these last few games were meant to be the easy one! Hahaha.

    Not long back

Decent ground but terrible logistics (half hour to get out of the park & ride car park)

Why take Pointon AND Chappers off, totally ruined any attacking options we realistically had

Very low quality affair, we were poor and Colchester were worse. But they held us to a draw so that shows this group of players are going absolutely nowhere

Smallwood and Odour need to stay away from corners

Chapman would be half decent if he had any clue what to do in the final third

    Oliver is especially woeful

2 points dropped, without a shadow of a doubt

I think the guy was just trying to put things in perspective, nothing wrong with that mate. Fans are talking about not going to games, not renewing their season tickets. Some fans will keep going whatever, that is their choice and they shouldn't be criticised for that, just like those who now choose not to attend games.
Personally I am as pissed off as anyone but I am pushing 67 (I feel older a lot of the time) but I'll keep going for the same reason I'm not having a dry January, I don't know how many I've got left. We've lost four City fans that I know in the last 12 months, all 4 of them went home and away. What's the song? "City till I die". I will be retiring soon, plenty of time for other pursuits then.

We all know you love this football, nobody disputes that but the guy was only giving is own take on things in relation to what's going on at City against what's happening in his life. And you don't take kindly to that? You need to give your head a shake, at the end of the day we are all very down about the situation we are in so please let's not start sniping at each other. You are certainly better than that.

You miss the point I was making. If there is nothing to play for, it’s a kick in the balls for anyone making the effort to go watch isn’t it

Very predictable jumping all over him soon as we concede. Were you criticising his display at derby?

And for the record, if not for Taylor’s pass then we wouldn’t have scored at all. End of
