It's a strange thing isn't it? I've watched them since the early 60s and they'll always be my club. Forever. But what does that actually mean? I don't own the club. That's a bloke who has no interest in it. I don't run it. I don't manage it. I don't play for it. We no longer own our ground. The local council couldn't care less about it. All those roles are performed by people who come and go and certainly don't have the connection to this mysterious entity that I have. As the immortal Leonard Cohen said, 'I'm just a station on your way, I know I'm not your lover.' At the moment all these people, and those before them, have combined to make many of us totally disenchanted and many are thinking of walking away, not renewing season tickets etc. But although we may walk away from attending, we're not really walking away from Bradford City because the only constant over the years is us. We, literally, are Bradford City, and we can only hope that at some point in the future we can be proud of that again.

Don't double down on it, i don't take kindly to it. Everyone else knew exactly what I meant. You know nothing of my personal situation either. I love my football club and I'll say exactly the same again, it's depressing what's going on right now.

There isn't any room for mediocrity. We're full to the brim with being sh*t.

    3 points from 15.
Can't beat Crawley at Home or Colchester away.
Who would have thought that Jamie Walker was carrying the whole club.
We need new wing backs and new strikers.
Not mobile enough for the modern game.
    That includes Cook.
Whole team looked like it was running through treacle.

You have to laugh or you'd cry. We are literally a club with no reason at the moment. Just treading water, making up the numbers. I know some on here are happy with that. Me? Kinda at the stage where I couldn't care less now until the owner either shits or gets off the pot.

Give over. I have major issues with my family and I separate my issues, especially on a football chat board.

ST sales will be interesting. I gave mine up a couple of years ago, and there'll always be a core who renew no matter what. But there are several thousand floating fans who are surely considering whether its worth it? I don't mean the cost so much, although many are struggling, I mean the investment of time to watch an outfit that feels somewhere between incompetent, disinterested or even downright taking the piss? I came to a conclusion that I wouldn't give my time and money to the club when it clearly didn't want to show ambition and run itself professionally, with quality and leadership from the top down, not at the expense of spending time with my family. I'm sure that more and more will be questioning themselves, because there's very little to hang your hat on in terms of believing in the future of the club under this regime.

First half we were alright. Scored and had a few half chances but nothing clear cut. Colchester clearly a poor side but we just didn't capitalise and never looked like doing so.

Second half was a shocker. Poor defending from Taylor (shock) and from the away end it looked like a very tight angle to score from so I'm questioning Walker on that too, albeit will need to see it again.

Chapman and Pointon didn't have the influence they did on Tuesday but were still the only players who looked like making something happen. Bringing Oliver and Oduor on was laughable. Bring another donkey on and boot it long. Brain dead football.

Another thoroughly miserable weekend of Bradford City.

I think you'll be the same as me my club is Bradford City as yourself been there late 50s early 60s, if I was going to walk away as sure as hell it would have been before now, but as you say its not that easy although there are far more things to do now adays on a Saturday thats Bradford City day for many.
Everton are my second favourite team (I pick em don't I) again that choice goes back to when they had a good team and were a power in League One never follow (not support) the club across Stanley Park but Everton are always the first result I look for when they play, and I never dreamed of changing my club for that team 10 miles down the road although many of my work mates from Bradford did prefer going to Elland Road it would have been so easy back then when they were also a force in football, but its not all about winning especially when you start taking your grandson as I did the season Stuart returned, and hes dafter than me with regards watching City as and when he can
So going back to your original point I and I'd think those who attend games view Bradford City as our/their team, as had been said many times the likes of Stafford Heginbotham, Geoff Richmond, Jack Tordoff. David Simpson, Bob Martin, Julian Rhodes or Mark Lawn were only custodians and passing through, where as it will be poor health or our passing that stops the likes of us not attending.

Thank you. I'd never measure football up in the same light as real life trauma , to even mention it actually upset me a bit.

Interesting Kev. I had a long conversation with Mark Bright who was at the match watching the Palace gk who is on loan at the Us. His view is that Cook is by far and away the best striker in L2 and possibly better than some in L1. Playing for himself can sometimes be confused with a greedy striker who's job is to score and we've had plenty of them over the time I have watched. In my opinion AS A FAN, Cook looked greedy yesterday because he realised there was no quality alongside him. Sorry to say but in my view Pointon should have been hooked after 30 or at least at HT. He looked lacking in energy, regularly misplaced passes and doesn't have the experience to read the game. For example, their defence tried to play out but were not really good enough yet Bobby showed no anticipation or even gambled where the ball would go, only setting off when he saw it which was too late. For me I would have played Smith who might not be in the best of form but is more of a sniffer and has the pace to get there.
Not to put it all on Bobby but equally Chapman for me has no end product, he showed that at Derby. Skillful but no killer punch and GA clearly saw what I saw when he subbed them both at the same time, albeit a bit late for me.

A very good point Roger. Cook imo, is extremely frustrated this season, but some construe that as him being greedy, selfish, lazy, or disinterested. He's fed up, like the rest of us.

Now effectively 8 points off the playoffs with MK Dons having two games in hand. Notts County 9 points but played the same games.
Yet another season in league 2 beckons next season.
Good luck selling those season tickets...

Yes, league season well and truly over for us now. 7 points from playoffs now.

Just the Bristol Street Motors trophy to play for now, but cannot muster any enthusiasm for that at all, not even Wembley would entice me to watch

We weren't poor but we were anything but class. Alexander was always gonna struggle after coming into such a badly run football club, it might be coming apparent to him now why so many managers have failed here in the last 5 or 6 years. Forget the big crowds off cheap tickets and a big capacity ground, we are just a run of the mill middle of the table league 2 side with no direction. I don't blame Alexander for wanting to come here, but without that direction the club is looking at yet another rebuild.
It's painful to see us just aimlessly bumble from season to season with no genuine plan of how to move forward.

    Not long back

Decent ground but terrible logistics (half hour to get out of the park & ride car park)

Why take Pointon AND Chappers off, totally ruined any attacking options we realistically had

Very low quality affair, we were poor and Colchester were worse. But they held us to a draw so that shows this group of players are going absolutely nowhere

Smallwood and Odour need to stay away from corners

Chapman would be half decent if he had any clue what to do in the final third

    Oliver is especially woeful

2 points dropped, without a shadow of a doubt

I'll tell you what I objected to, trying to be belittled for using a word that everybody else knew the context it was meant in. I don't know the personal circumstance on here, I'm not a mind reader. The word depression doesn't just apply to one scenario.
