Good post but I bet you regret wasting that 10 mins of your life expecting a response. @Fordy117@Fordy117 is as shallow as an evaporating puddle in the Sahara desert. He is as much a business man as I am a Leeds fan.

He'll be reminded at some opportune moment in the near future when he's next talking out of his ar$e! ;)

I have to admit that there are the occasional gems emanating from his direction.

But originally it was all agreed

my sources prove that to be incorrect, this is exactly why Rupp took them to court and settled out of court.

and just to be clear for the anti-Rupp brigade the fact that both parties settled out of court, is proof that Rupps claim was valid. If it was not valid WAGMI would have refused to do that and win the court case. Especially as WAGMI is the defendant here.

    From Rupp himself,

“It is right and correct it be known that I have acted properly throughout my short dealings with WAGMI United LLC and rejected their proposed deal to protect the proud history of Bradford City AFC."

its a shame he gets raked over the coals for doing a good job, if it was me in his position getting all the flak I would have just sold up to WAGMI out of spite, stronger man than I.

That doesn't prove Rupp was correct it just proves WAGMI didn't want to go to court. Many people have settled out of court despite thinking they have a very good chance of winning a court case.

He must have been happy with the financial settlement so he could have got a good portion of his stake back so he must take credit for doing what he was advised was the best for the club

I'm not anti-Rupp at all. Just pointing out that settling out of court doesn't prove anything, other than WAGMI didn't want to go to court. Lots of people settle out of court.

Are you suggesting Rupp is lying with his statement?

Why would WAGMI pay money for being right? That makes no sense.

If Rupp pulled out of a legally binding deal, WAGMI would have taken Rupp to court and won. WAGMI did neither of those things.
    What WAGMI actually said after the matter was;

In a statement WAGMI said: "WAGMI United thanks Stefan Rupp for his leadership in arranging this opportunity to support such an important cause. The matter is now closed and both parties can move forward and concentrate on the success of their respective ventures.”

What benefit would WAGMI get for not either
    1) carrying on with the purchase of the club
    2) recouping money for the failed purchase

but instead pay money themselves? That again makes no sense.

like seriously why does rupp get so much bother on here for? People act like he’s liquidated the damn club on here.

I've nothing against Rupp. You said the out of court settlement 'proved' Rupp correct.
That's just not the case. People settle out of court all the time. You proved nothing.

I'm sure it was a verbal agreement between the two and Rupp pulled the plug when WAGMI jumped the gun and plastered it all over the internet as a done deal

Rupp said it's not how he does business and pulled the plug

Not sure that conflicts with what I originally said. In that case Rupp is correct.

nothing wrong with pulling out of a non-legally binding deal.

Ignore this post. See my most recent one to you.

Do you have any evidence or examples of why WAGMI specifically would settle out of court even though they are the victims?

Normally people settle out of court when they cannot afford the legal fees. WAGMI could afford it but did not pursue it.

i cannot see no logical reason why WAGMI would not want to pursue this case for the reasons I mentioned in my previous reply to you.

at this point your replies are based on possibility and conjecture. “If my mother had wheels she would be a bike” sort of territory!

Actually i looked into it, this is factually incorrect.

    https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/bradford-city-have-had-offer-from-cryptocurrency-firm-but-sale-not-imminent-3498307

    In that article Rupp states

Despite various reports claiming a change of ownership is imminent, I can confirm it is not," said Rupp in a statement.

“Yesterday, I received an e-mail from a representative of the WAGMI United group with an offer to purchase Bradford City AFC.

That is all I have received, nothing more, and no further action has taken place.”

And then WAGMI suggest that is a lie.

This is when the solicitors got involved.

So @HUDDERSSBANTAM@HUDDERSSBANTAM why would WAGMI accuse Rupp of something but then not take it all the way?

Look at the scenes at Wrexham on the weekend. You’ve got Reynolds, one of the most recognised faces in the world, in tears of joy. He’s even asking humbly for signed shirts off Mullen. People raised their eyebrows that a couple of “Yank movie stars” bought a club they know nothing about, but how wrong they were. This is the very example of how owners can connect with the club - by being a fan. I looked on with envy on, whilst we’ve got Rupp hidden away in his box (for the first time in over a year) watching us throw away promotion.

Seems like he read the script and is playing the role well! Some might say Rupp is also “pretending” to like football.

The point is though buyouts like this are very rare. In time we will have new owners but history tells us little will change.

Not sure your first sentence is totally accurate. Many people ‘settle out of court’, having received legal advice. Sometimes solicitors can suggest one course of action, or indeed caution in respect of their clients potential position. They can then seek Counsel’s advice. If that again suggests that their clients are highly likely to be unsuccessful, they ‘settle out of court’.
