that was the old contract though. The current one could just be a percentage like most clubs have.

the previous owners had said it was unusual to get a guarantee, that is why I questioned it

    You think or you know.

Either way why would Bradford City board want their fans getting ripped off?

Hot drinks shouldn't be £2.30 mate.

What would you be selling them at if you owned the catering firm?

The catering was run by an outside company under Juilan & Mark who gave the club a % of the takings, not sure where you've read there was no guarantee, I believe Juilan & Mark actually said if the catering company made over a certain amount they wanted a larger % but the catering company said they would guarantee the club a certain %, no risk to the club and monies guaranteed.

I haven’t said there wasn’t a guarantee. I said the previous owners had stated it was unusual to get a guarantee. That is why I was asking if the new deal also had a guarantee, if so it isn’t unusual

Fordy's right. 15000 people in every other week and the majority of the profit is going to another company.

Never read/seen that comment, Dave Baldwin said many times on the subject of catering, the club took no risk as they were guaranteed a %.

and at the same time said it was a really good deal as usually it was just a % rather than a fixed fee and then a percent

Been to Stafford Rangers today; Timothy Taylor Landlord on hand pump, real espresso coffee served and a great selection of quality food. Probably explains why I'm happy to spend money on the food and drink at Stafford Rangers but not at City.

So what? Still a thousand people that we could be making ALL the profit from rather than a percentage. Easiest thing in the world to make money from. Captive hungry and thirsty audience.

Its also easier to cater for 600+ fans than 10000+ but I get your point.

Fordy's comment on nobody should pay £2.30 for a hot drink, I'd say that's about the standard price these days - from a Costa machine, football ground, petrol station, event, festival, farmers market etc.

You'll pay around £2ish for a tea, 30-50p more for coffee at most places.
