A place for fans to post their ideas that would benefit BCFC and the fans in general

Not a place for slating the club, there are plenty of other places to do that - Any ideas the officials can take on board please post below

We know guys from the club read the forum so here is a great place to post up your thoughts

( were not looking for criticism as such, more ideas to improve the match day experience and club shop - tickets etc )

    This is a great idea.

Roger and I are happy to act as a funnel for suggestions.

    From experience there has to be an understanding that not every idea can be taken up for example;
    • People have conflicting ideas :)
    • It may conflict with a partner (eg selling X larger when we have an exclusive deal with Y provider)
    • The Cost-benefit may not support the business case
    • We are unable to fulfil the idea because of 3rd party supply restrictions (eg ticketing or shop web platforms)
But we'll always feedback on the reasons why and hopefully we can make lots of incremental gains which add up to significant improvement in the fan experience.

One of the things that bugs me is the way our stadium looks to visitors. We walk down Burlington Terrace, and on the right about the third of the way down a ginnel/waste land is being used to fly tip, it looks awful. I know it is not the club’s responsibility, but could the club ask the council to clear it away, it will no doubt have needles etc so shouldn’t be tackled by volunteers and will need experts on the job. Just think how we look is important.

One of the things I would like is some alternative merchandise. T shirts/Polo Shirts with a small motif, the size of the Fred Perry/Polo Ralph Lauren type, which just has the club crest and say BCFC or bantams on it.

In the past the City Gent have had some produced by Banana Moon, who I think are City supporters. I would not buy if it had lots of Sponsorship Branding on it. I had a simple one from years ago, which has ‘worn out’, because l really liked it.
In the past the club produced some replica shirts from the past by some people called Score draw. The colour maybe a bit ‘mustard’ but they were an excellent product. Again a product which was well made, so much so I will be wearing one today, under a few layers!
Finally on the clothing side, there is a local firm which produces socks! Perhaps a deal (the price is a little high) as they produce hooped socks and a ‘marl’ https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=bradford+sock+company+claret+and+amber+socks&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari#imgrc=MGKGODX-cf7zWM:

I'd really like to see the "Lister's Mill" shirt taken up for next season.

That’s one of, if not the nicest kit design I’ve ever seen.

I would imagine if it’s not already chosen then it’s too late. I know that United have usually signed their next seasons kits off by November. Obviously the likes of United sell way more replicas than Bradford City will so the kit manufacturers may need more of a lead time but then again you use Avec Sport so being a smaller company they may still need that kind of time to be ready.

Also designers for kit manufacturers are a lazy bunch and just do minor variations for all clubs even when you are talking about the top ones who you would think it would make sense to put effort in (well pro sports wear in general tbh, just look at a tennis grand slam other than Wimbledon where they have an excuse and see how often both players wear the same thing especially in the women’s)

The state of the stadium toilets are not up to standard, I pay for a suite upgrade before the game and the toilets upstairs are clean warm and well decorated, However I like to sit in the normal seats for the game with friends and the toilets for the fans in these areas are cold, functional to say the least, They look dirty and unkempt and must be embarrassing if you have small children, I would certainly not bring any kids to have to use them, They are in need of a desperate upgrade instead of the basic it will do for the punters mentality, Those going to away games will have noticed other grounds facilities are much more modern and better,

Can somebody at the club please contact a plumber.
Its a disgrace that the toilets I use in the lower Kop havent had any hot water for many years.

I agree, but @Glenn Ackroyd@Glenn Ackroyd explained that the cleaning is done by volunteers. I was surprised at the difference between ‘upstairs’ and the rest of stadium toilets. I realise how deprived we are when I went to Doncaster and the toilets were clean with warm water and soap. I realise money is very tight, but there are limits that we shouldn’t fall below.

Make it more enjoyable/engaging for kids.

My sons 8 and he’s stopped wanting to go. And it isn’t just about the results/entertainment.

We went to a premier league game a few weeks ago and on entry, all kids were given an activity pack which has a small picture poster, some stickers and a ‘bingo sheet’ of in-match events to tick off. There was a small bag of sweets too. The bingo sheet especially was a great idea - it kept him engaged and watching the whole game. Might sound trivial, but his enjoyment factor is a crucial element in whether we’ll renew our STs, as there are plenty of other things we’d enjoy doing together instead.

Create a fan zone outside the ground. We have plenty of local breweries and food outlets who I’m sure would love to partner with the club to showcase their products. Bit of a street food and beer vibe could be a great way to make it fun - regardless of what happens on the pitch.

The excuse the toilet cleaning is done by volunteers will not wash, To expect fans to have poor conditions because the volunteers are not able to clean them properly is not acceptable these days, fans expect and deserve more,

Last time I used the toilets in the lower kop, upon flushing the water promptly fled through the side of the u bend. Assuming they've been fixed now but in general they're grim.

Also how about a paint job in the concourse? Blundeston prison had fancier hallways, even if its a volunteer job I'm sure quite a few would turn up to help tart the ground up

    New Catering please.
    Better toilet facilities please.

New seats in parts too, the colour in the seating looks so washed out in the KOP compared to the main stand.

Also loving that kit design above!! Though a return to stripes would make me very very happy also.

I love this idea, they have one at Shrewsbury and it was great when I went at the start of the season. They had a wee band on and beer on tap. Met a couple of Bantams who lived down there and got to mingle with Bradford and Shrewsbury fans.

Bring back the 50/50 draw .
I don't want to win a second hand sweaty shirt I want cash.

Also bring back mason or someone like, he was brilliant at flogging season tickets I've hardly seen any advertising .
