Club Crest (New Crest Revealed 5 October 2022) With Poll

53% is being used to push forward this idea. That's 53% who voted for one of 4 choices against what I presume 47% who voted for the other choice.

 

Someone’s ego trip is all this. I knew it was going ahead regardless. Really really disappointed with the club, they were doing so well too….

The club can't force the other 17000 to respond to the survey.
If they felt that strongly either way, they'd find the time to do it.

Can they just not 'digitise' the current crest? Recreate the current design but in more modern tools and ensure its proportions are correct? Why change for the sake of change?

Celebrating our 120th anniversary in this clean and appropriate design at the bottom of a redesign of the one proposed as used by Rangers would look great.

The survey was sheit, Badley designed and to long, It was an exercise in getting a result asked for, Sparks is looking more and more not what the club need moving forward, In fact more of this twiddling and fixing things that do not need it he is holding the club back

 

It's not members though is it? Just people who have a purchase history with the club. So the Arsenal fans who had tickets in the home end for the league cup quarter final, the bin-dippers who went to that friendly not to mention the Bradford Reds of both persuasions who come along because it's cheap football but don't really care about Bradford City enough to get involved in this kind of survey.

Take those out, along with kids who aren't likely to participate in this kind of online survey and the famed digiphobes in our support and about 3k isn't a bad number of respondents really.

 

If the club had put it out to all supporters as in flyers at the ground or advertised it around the ground on match days then i'm sure the response would have been better. All they did was post about it on social media and not everyone uses social media, i certainly don't. I only found out about it on this forum and i'm sure at least 30% of our supporters won't even know about the change.
The club have been very sneaky and underhand about this. Even the survey is heavily loaded towards the new crest, i mean 4 of the 5 questions were yes to the change answers, it's no wonder the results are what they are.

 

I'd say well over half of the current 92 league clubs have enforced a change in their club crest since ours was adopted in 1991 so change, and the cost attached, shouldn't be feared. I think the club has slightly made a rod for its own back by requesting so much input from supporters because it's difficult to please everyone but fair play to them for attempting to do so.

The key thing from the latest update is there will be a final vote, this month according the club, which will put the proposed badge up against the current crest so everyone can have their say. Sparks also acknowledged recently that communicating largely via digital channels was an error, so I'd presume that we could see/receive something at the ground for one of the upcoming home games.

 

If it comes down to a vote, who is choosing the designs to go in the vote? We need to go full Boaty McBoatface on this.
