I was told two of the guys on the "design committee" were Fordy and Nick Kitchen, say no more.

 

I don't buy any of this badge complexity stuff being a problem for Macron. Macron make Crystal Palace's kit for example and don't seem to have a problem with their badge, I'd argue its at least as complex as ours, arguably more complex. The club want to wholesale change the badge becuase they want to and for no other reason, regardless of the reasoning that they have presented to fans.

 

Terrible design which, as others have said, looks juvenile and chicken shoppy. Typographically it's dodgy too. Good badges carry the suggestion of institutional weight behind them; this one carries the suggestion of a product, which I think makes sense given it's Sparks calling the shots.

'Supporter's pack' filled with complete guff about a 'bespoke typeface which represents the city' and riddled with spelling errors (one in massive letters) is patronising in the extreme.

I remember with Surridge we used to get a go at voting on kit designs and other clubs have done this too. It's odd that they didn't propose three designs and ask us to vote: a much easier way of proving you've engaged with the fans and giving people a sense they've been listened to. That way they could also have worked to a deadline without the uncertainty we seem to have surrounding the badge now.

I find the lines about making the chicken on our badge 'more aggressive to better represent the hard-working people of Bradford' (or similar) to be really cringeworthy. If you want an aggressive logo, which is mystifying in itself, don't pick a bloody chicken!

 

If they wanted something aggressive why not bring back the Boars head used in our 1985 promotion or the City of Bradford crest we have used that at least have a link with the City of Bradford and have some history and pride instead of this rubbish they propose

 

looking at Palace kits it looks like they use stick on badges which would make it easier with the Eagle design

 

Saw the new design advertised on a few electronic billboards around town over the weekend. Looks to me like they are pushing for its change.

 

Suede base silicone patch. I assume not too dissimilar from our current one if that's the case.

Good job they weren't playing the mighty Pafos FC under the rule of Henning Berg and Gaiska Mendieta....now my second team after watching them a few weeks ago on holiday....

 

I've seen the new logo marketed on billboards and LED advertisement screens in the airport last night, that would suggest they're sticking by it, wouldn't it?

I know it's possible to withdraw marketing /ad campaigns - but to plug on with it publicly when you've not even finished the stakeholder feedback stage seems a bit premature and perhaps even undermining the supporters views.

Edit - Just seen @Rogered Tart post, seems like the airport isn't the only place they're pushing with it.

 

The artwork for the creating and the hire of the LED sites is expensive and is just the beginning of the rebrand but not to worry on cost as one poster thinks you can get all this for under a pound in fact in his words "a few pennies"

 

Probably, as Kitchen works for Fordy in his car wash, when he's not at Asda in Keighley

 

We are into this for a season changing amount- get it spent on the pitch

 

Rebranding is tough, as KFC found out they wanted to rebrand in China and someone pointed out that Finger Licking Good, literally translated to Chinese means "we will eat your finger ends off"

 

The Toyota MR2 didn't sell well in France either
