Funny this. You were quick enough to defend and highly rate shite. The amount of shite managers you backed was unbelievable.

Who passed up the opportunity to have their say because they couldn't be arsed but are now wingeing like a 5 year old kid being dragged out a sweet shop because they don't like it?

I did the original survey and couldn’t have been more clearer that it didn’t need changing and that more pressing matters such as getting out of this pitiful league is more important. Obviously they’re pushing this through regardless. Furious with Ryan Sparks. Rugby League tacky crap.

 

Ok but unless they made up the statistics of 90% that said x and 80% said y then it would appear that many wanted a change.

Well everyone I see at the pub didn’t want the change and looking on this group and on socials, it’s hardly blossomed with positivity over it. Massive bollock dropped and I’ve seen today the club haven’t posted anything about the badge on social media. As I said yesterday Rupp must be fuming we have spent and will be spending pushing it.

 

I don't mind it but I don't quite like it. What I do like is that he's putting our club out there in people's faces. You can't go anywhere in Leeds without seeing something about them. It'll hopefully get into people's heads, I think it's a positive campaign to advertise our club and surely that's a benefit?

 

see above about arriving at Yeadon and seeing (I think ) it was 3 of them from entering arrivals to going out front for the bus. Slap bang in Leeds land, made me smile. Not a fan of the design but agree with the use of it and pushing the “brand”.

 

Why can’t we just do that with our current much better badge ?

 

Isn't it our own marketing team that has come up with this badge? If so why would Rupp be fuming as they were being paid by the club anyway.
I think the marketing team is doing a fabulous job and more than likely recouped their wages back in ticket sales/merch and sponsorship fees.

 

Ryan has said all along there will be decisions made the fans may not like maybe this is one of them, but it sounds to me like your on a personal witch hunt with you petty comments, maybe you should give him a ring I'm sure he would take your concerns onboard.

 

I think they wanted more than one person's opinion. Apologies for my impertinence. It seems they acted on the majority but democracy does have its flaws. As I see it, the current badge is no longer fit for purpose and does not have a long historical significance - fwiw, I would've been up in arms to protect a long-standing symbol of identity - and so was going to be changed sooner or later. Quite probably, 20 years from now, hopefully after a period of wonderous success - promotions, FA Cup win, Premier League title, Champions League winners, when the next owners of the club want a new badge, there'll be the same amount of passion for whatever emerges for next season's badge.

 

It was. I flew out Tuesday from there and was advertising us very clearly and that it was less than 8 miles away....we have a deal with themI believe...

Over my 62 years watching City I can hardly remember any of the logos which have been used in connection with the club so unmemorable have they been bar one, the City Gent. I've also had zero interest if I'm honest. But for I've got quite annoyed by the present offering for two reasons. Firstly it's truly awful. Dull, amateurish, saying nothing about our club, uninspiring, embarrassingly dreary. In fact I agree with all the very valid criticisms that people have advanced. And secondly, and connected with the first, the gushing rubbish that is coming out of the club about it, as though they've produced some fantastic marketing creation that will make us the envy of the football world. Sadly, that speaks volumes. I can only hope that they remember the fiasco of the Leeds badge and draw back before we're saddled with it for the foreseesble future. But we all know it's already going to happen and all this consultation is just a smokescreen.

 

They are and as you say they are doing a great job so if they think it’s a way to in the end to increase revenue let them get on with it
