Wow some positivity on the message board at last, nice to see, let's hope more players of a similar quality are lined up and brought into the club in the next week or so, then possibly a couple of good loan players.

 

Agree virtually with all of this. But we need lots of cover so I'd say we need two left-sided midfielders, one if Robinson returns, two more forwards, some creativity in midfield and two more centrre backs. Then we're looking good. But, as ever, the proof will be in the pudding. How many times have we thought we've recruited well only to be disappointed? Nevertheless, I'm really looking forward to the new season and if we address the above areas I think we'll have a great season.

No surprise the defenders are unknowns, who knew Darby, Meredith, McHugh or McArdle?

But quality forwards are rarely miles below the radar. I'd expect our midfield signings to be moderately well know - like Zeli Ismail, perhaps!

But we will need a couple of cheaper options as front men too. Doyle abd Donaldson won't be on peanuts, so now it's down to Bowyer to get some inexpensive back up. No doubt the Usual Suspects will complain if they aren't established, but as always they can be taken with a pinch of salt.

 

Hope so. Be quite a coup if permanent. I think he looked a very promising player and oozed confidence for such a young player. Loved how he wound up and kept Marquis in his pocket.

He’s scored 199 goals in just over 600 games which makes him a 1-3 striker with alot of his games been in the championship. If he scores at the same rate that’s 15 goals next season.

 

Heard Swindon a whole ago. They couldn't afford Kyle Bennett's wages. Makes m e doubt it.

 

Maybe a few years too late with Donaldson but it’s quite clear what Bowyer wants. Up the city.

Perhaps I’ve got my rose tinted glasses on but I don’t see the scatter gun approach of last season. We appear to be recruiting early with a clear plan in mind. It’s hardly rocket science but I have to say that it sure feels good.

 

Yeah I agree. Also making so many signings so early is possibly an indicator we are getting our first choice targets which is even better.
