Great news if accurate, surely that loves no place for AO'C, and we can move forward.

 

Just as others have posted, O'Connor from Leeds for a fee, but as everyone else only rumour until the deal is done.

 

Would be great if true but I'd be amazed if we paid a fee.

 

That would be a great bit of business if true and the sort of prospect Edin should have been looking at rather than Pybus etc..

 

It's simple. Pretty much all the stats you have used are there to back up the notion that Hanson is on par, if not better than Doyle. That's not a dig, of course you're are going to try and back up your opinion. My point is that atleast half the stats you've used can also, depending on your outlook, be interpreted to suggest the complete opposite of what you percieve to be true. Therefore, the other side of the argument cannot be dismissed as false just because you think it is. It's all just a matter of perspective. Add in other valid opinions outside the stats and there's more than enough to make a case for Doyle being the better player, even if you don't share that view.

You don't want to hear it though. Apparently it's "unfair" and "disrespectful" to point it out.

On Doyle, I wouldn't at all be upset if was to leave. There's no disputing that he underachieved last season. I will though much rather we have Doyle starting for us next season with tactics and players to suit than bringing back James Hanson.

Agree, but I still think this is highly unlikely.

 

If the player performs as we'd hope, chances are he'll be off up the divisions or back to his club. This could completely derail our season. Or we do as we did with Payne, up the payments and run the risk of it going tits up. I appreciate there's no guarantee but midseason disruptions do more harm than good. Maybe if we included a first refusal clause, then this could be an option.
