My first thought was left wing back, interesting that he sees himself as a number 10 in future

Why sign another LB ? Ridehalgh is perfectly capable and never lets us down. It's someone in front of him that we need to replicate what Parky jad on the right with Darby & McMahon

Thinking about it now, is the right side the bigger problem? We will hopefully have Chapman back to play wide left. Who's going to play wide right?

We definitely don't need to replicate that partnership. It was negative and dull beyond belief!

Maybe on the basis Hughes wants strength in depth and wants to play a different, more attacking system down the flanks. Ridehalgh could be our second choice next season with Oduor being number one. Not a bad back up option - assuming Oduor is indeed better! We wait and see...

If he is used at left back, as many people are thinking, then you have to feel for Matty Foulds. City lad, has been a great loan player as far as Harrogate fans have said, should maybe be given a chance to win his place rather than be shoved down the pecking order

But we shall see what prevails, as it is early days and it could go in any direction

    Did we?

It's not what the history books show.

I've just watched Oduor's video highlights and he looks nothing like a left back. He does look full of tricks, but I wouldn't want to see him trying them at the edge of our own area.

Don't think Oduor will play LB and not arsed about Foulds because he isn't good enough either. Ridehalgh is fine for a lower level L2 side but not for us, we need better.

Reading up about him he has played just about every position on the pitch but mostly down the left I think he will be in competition for left wing left back or wing back if we want to play that formation. He looks to have good technical ability but needs to use it better to benefit the team

A friend of mine who is a Barnsley fan summarised him thus .... pace to burn; very good close ball control; enjoys his trickery; would prefer to beat the opponent twice rather than be content to beat him once. Despite his skills, he rarely had a shot on goal and isn't known for his assists.

I questioned my friend saying he prefers the No 10 position to which my friend responded 'Only in his dreams'! <expletives removed>. That of course is only one person's opinion. We'll just have to wait to see him on the pitch and make up our own minds.

Left wing back, if we are to go 352 is my guess.

The beating a man “twice” should have or has been coached out of him . I think that’s where MH comes in?

    Because we need to improve....

Ridehalgh is the least talented in our back 5. If he is back up, fair enough but we need better ti get those autos.

If we are going to go 3-5-2 I think that Ridehalgh will potentially play LCB? Odour at LWB with the potential to change system mid game. Could easily push Odour forward and change to a back 4.

I understand why some are not exactly over the moon with this signing, I’m feeling a bit meh about it to be honest but we have to trust the professionals that are in the recruitment team and Hughes. They’ve not just pulled his name out of a hat and signed him, they’ve watched him. They’ve compared him to other players and decided that he is a player they want in the team. Let’s trust the build and judge at the end of the transfer window.

"Now then, son, we don't beat a man twice at Bradford City. In fact, we don't even beat a man once. Its, sideways, sideways, back. And, if you don't follow my instructions, that three year contract won't be worth the paper it's written on".

And a second leg that we never even really gave a go. We were very negative and at no point ever really in the entire tie once we went behind.
