Just read the City Vent ad for the forum. Just one slight correction about club communication. Aside from the series of T&A articles, both Sparks and Alexander will be live on BBC Radio Leeds for a Q&A session shortly after the transfer window has shut.

Date yet to be confirmed, but useful to know. I hope those quizzing them ask some tough questions and don't take a feeble response for an answer.

 

Is this meeting being also streamed live for those who cannot make it

A few small rooms yes , yet a 1,000 in one room , I think someone is misjudging guys?

Not sure what your hoping to achieve with just a rally. If you had a prospective buyer there who was being knocked back by Rupp who you could get behind then I can understand it. It seems it will just be an angry mob that vent their dissatisfaction which is understandable as things are but you really need to be able to Identify someone who is able to not only buy the club but take it forward. For instance if you could get Dave Baldwin there then it’s someone to get behind.

 

Several have asked, not sure an answer has come up.

 

So we sit back and do nothing until someone is willing to match that loons price ?????

 

My husband told me they have one big room and several smaller rooms. In any event if more turn up than can be accommodated then it is what it is. If they stream it they can follow on smart phones etc.

 

I don’t think it’s being streamed. If we can find out I’ll certainly tune in?
We used to go after hours drinking (afternoons) there whilst apprentices and I just don’t recall it being big enough. But hey brain is foggy after all this time.

 

It is big tbh. We used to go for pre match drinks. They have an outside area as well which obviously won’t be used. It will be standing room only. I think the first meeting should let ppl vent their frustrations and anger. Then curtail it into constructive questions we need answered to be sent to both Rupp and Sparks.

 

How is meeting at a social club to discuss a vote of no confidence from fans to the owner 'an angry mob' or a 'rally'?

It's not anger, it's valid discourse.

Painting it as anything else at this stage is pure dishonesty, Captain.

We also aren't getting a buyer, ever, at this price. Rupp has slapped a totally unrealistic price on our head and is blocking our progress.

Think of us as Jake Young, and imagine Sparks started asking £10 million. Even though one or two on here think that's a valid price (jk kinda lol), nobody is ever gonna pay it and all we're doing is hindering the lad's progress.

We are the lad whose progress is being hindered.

 

Fans have already done something Gaz by not turning up on Tuesday night. That is the best demonstration that fans can give, it will give the people in power a massive shock, not chucking tennis balls or other nonsense.

 

Then they need to invite to the meeting,Baldwin, Mason, and see if Rupp is overvaluing his asset or are the buyers just Tyre kickers as Mark Lawn used to describe them. Try and get proper facts not just speculation.

 

While I agree, that probably comes later. 5 people might show up. No sense wasting people's time until we know if there's a consensus and how strong the feeling is, wouldn't you agree?

 

We need the sort of person to get behind like Stafford Heginbotham in mid1960s and again in 1983. I believe Dave Baldwin could be that man who the fans could get behind and someone who could form a consortium that would put pressure on Rupp to sell below his alleged asking price.

 

Is it to much to get in contact with the local press or Radio Leeds so they can actually get a feel of the mood of our fanbase

 

Huw Dennis was sniffing around us before Hughes makes you wonder how many other investors hes put off with his stupid fooking price

 

We need to get numbers of everyone that turns up.
