Bradfords support isn't great for a city our size. But if you look at a map we've got our fair share of football league competition. We're not talking small clubs either. Carlisle don't have that issue

 

PL teams got a record TV deal...but still put up season ticket prices....

It's simple supply and demand. You don't lower your prices if your product sells.

 

I don't think football should fit into the "simple supply and demand" theory. Man City was mentioned somewhere on this thread. They sold cheap season tickets whilst they 'built the brand'. Now they've built it, they shouldn't price out locals/lifelongs to sell to tourists or glory supporters.

Thats the way the world works unfortunately. I don't always agree with it but thats how business works.

 

Depends what you're after. Again i don't necessarily agree with it but football is a business that relies on success as its its selling point. To get that success you have to give your manager the biggest budget possible. And that budget comes from the clubs income of which you as a fan are partly responsible for. When Liverpool built their new stand they had to ensure it brought in revenue to warrant the massive outlay, hence tiered pricing for different seating areas and an emphasis primarily aimed at corporate hospitality. Keeping the seats dirt cheap don't pay the wages of Salah, Mane and the like. You want to compete, you gotta pay for it.

 

A bit like charging tomorrows visitors twice the price they'll pay at home at their game on Boxing Day

 

People seem oblivious to it but its been like this for years and years. Our fans will have a big shock if we ever get to the Championship, some will have heart attack at how much the clubs there charge for away fans. But then some of our fans baulked at having to pay £50 a head for the evening with the premiership legends.

 

How many mugs bought Bradford City Cadburys Advent Calendars at a tenner a pop (RRP without the Words Bradford City) £2.50

 

Talk of doing the same with the other stand taking the ground capacity to 61,000.

They'll have done the cositngs, i bet it will take about 15 years to pay for itself. But that will mean an aggressive pricing policy where they will push as far as they can. Having a waiting list is a great position to be in when setting a pricing structure and you can guarantee selling every ticket.

You asked a fair question, so deserve a reply.

As City are miles away from being a PL Club ...... It's pricing is of no financial consequence to me. However, with all the sponsorship around, then £400 for an ST, or £30 POTD ? Seems fair, imo. Averages only, bearing in mind tiered pricing.

 

£30 is standard for PL away fans. WH STs start at £320 (£160 for under 21s & over 65s, £99 for under 16s)

 

£30 is pretty fair compared to away prices in league 2.
