Jeremy Corbyn's buying the club and it will be free tickets for everyone.

 

When the cheap season ticket initiative first came into action they were £199 and we were all praising the club for making football affordable and offering what was, and still would be fantastic value for money. Fast forward 10 years and a £49 increase to match the original bargain price would now be seen as a significant spike, a burden to many and no doubt cause arguments and friction amongst our fans. That's the problem with lowering and lowering the price. Once fans are over the initial euphoria of cheap tickets you have very little room for manoeuvre and have no choice but to keep season tickets ultra cheap or fans simply become disinterested. I like the sentiments behind our pricing structure and can't argue that it has been beneficial to the club but the prices imo should never have been reduced to a mere £150. If the club had played their cards right we could be paying say £180, there wouldn't be a murmur amongst us and every single argument in favour of cheap pricing would still apply.

 

Its certainly a shock when you see the prices elsewhere. I get why they've done it but once you built the clubs ethos on it you can't change it. Its an admirable stance but all dependant on success. I'm like you, i'd have looked to increase it. A tenner a game is quite respectable in my eyes the difference between £150 and £200 for season ticket should not put people off buying one. £150 is too cheap, although for what i'm watching at the moment probably too expensive.

The young fan base that comes along with the cheap season ticket deals have to be entertained or they won't keep turning up. Kids are easily bored at football unless there's noise/atmosphere and goals to cheer. Any kids watching for their first year this season going to be chomping at the bit to go next? I can't see it myself. Alright getting bums on seats at a fair price but you've got to keep them entertained and wanting to return for it to be any benefit to us.

Yep apparently @Fordy117 has rummaged down the back seats of his merc and found £5 mill in loose change and donated lent it to the club. All ST's have been cancelled and its POTG from next season. £10 in and £5 to get back out.

 

Yep... I also believe that as I sit on the end of an aisle I should be able to charge a £2 late entry fee for people wanting to get past after the kick off. £1 for each and every time someone wants to get past prior to half time and seeing as we are a second half side £2 every time after half time, how does that seem?

 

Absolutely pathetic decision.
This club has no balls or direction and seem happy to languish in the toilet division.

 

Cracking deal but i know at least one poster on here who will be soooooo unhappy at this.

 

It's a good thing for our pocket but I think they should've upped it a little bit.

Maybe wait until the back end of the season and if we look like we're going up, put them on sale for £175. I don't see people grumbling over a slight increase after a potential promotion.

 

And I certainly can’t argue with that logic, but for me even if they’d just put it up say£15 per year for the last couple of years I’d hope that wouldn’t put people off but could be the difference in getting an extra player who could make a difference.

I’m not going to slag the club off like some will, but I do feel we sell our product to cheap compared with other clubs, or they sell it to expensive. Either way the pricing is way off from our peers.

 

Bang on is that m8. We've dropped them to as rock bottom as you can go, to a point where if we put them up to a very reasonable £200 people would complain. £200 should have been the cut off point years ago, drop them too short and you can damage long term strategies.
