And waits till 5 minutes to go before bringing the 'cavalry' on (such as it is). WTF do managers expect someone to do in 5 minutes? With nothing to lose, he could at least have gone bolder a bit earlier.

It was better today for sure, although that wasn't exactly a hard thing to achieve. Butterfield and Ball should've scored and I think a draw would've been fair. Charlton were poor to say they were in the playoffs, looked clueless as to how to break down the worst defence in the league.

Absolutely. Surely it would have made more sense to give Clarke and Miller at least 20 minutes to try and make a difference rather than bringing them on with 5 or 6 minutes to go. If we had conceded again so what, we were losing anyway but if we had introduced more options up front sooner, we may have stood a chance of getting something from the game.

Caddis and O’Brien looked like the only 2 players who gave a shit

I was only listening on the radio, but Ball sounded like he had a good one. Butterfield in patches, and Paudie had a good second half?

These two players seem to put in the effort week in week out.
    Ball also tries his best.

Our players were dead on their feet today, yet Charlton didn’t even get out of 1st gear. OB and Caddis put a real shift in. Wood looked rusty. Both centre backs did ok. Keeper made a very decent save. Anderson still looks unfit. A few times I thought he’d been subbed, because he was nowhere to be seen. Ball isn’t a winger but is forced to play there. Would like to see him play as an out and out sttiker. Doyle hopeless again. Butterfield should have scored. Akpan needs more effort.
A draw would have been lucky, but we did put in some encouraging spells of pressure. So much better when we keep hold of the ball and don’t panic. Too many misplaced passes again.
In fairness, they should have been two orctheee up. Mop head is a decent striker. Shouldn’t have missed from 6 yards. They’ve got pace throughout the team too. Would love that.
    We go again.

    From Charlton Life
"A better than expected turn out of Bradford fans seemed to be let down by the total lack of effort in their team. OK all the time it was 1-0 they were in it, they went through the motions, even might have scored when Bauer blocked, and yes hit the post too, however only by us shooting ourselves in all 22 feet (plus subs) would we have failed to win that.
It felt like Bradford City let their players have duvet days when they don't fancy going to work, but the players had all used up their ration and were taking a duvet day anyway. they were pretty awful.
That we didn't win by a lot more can be put down to profligacy as much as anything, with the Lyle Taylor miss inexcusable (sorry Lyle), but it can also be put down to kicking the wrong way which is hardly ever a good thing. It might even be down to complacency because in the first half in particular it wasn't even a contest. Our crowd start to 'ole' after 30 minutes that says it all, it wasn't really a competitive match and all the worse for that. If Bradford escape relegation it will be as surprising as Theresa May getting divorced to marry Jeremy Corbyn."

It's funny how supporters see things differently. They were as poor and clueless as us for 60 minutes yesterday.

I'd argue that pretty much sums up that quote. They're not saying they played well at all...

Sounds weird this, yes we do not have a good team, blatantly obvious, but managed to keep them quiet, and to say that was down to Charlton having a day off is a bit rich tbh. Yes they missed a couple, but then so did we.

The lack of interest from our shower of shite probably spread to their players who thought it's not going to be difficult to get 3 points today..

The fans that spent time and money turning up would deserve a full refund if "madness of the fan" wasn't a mitigating factor in the club's defence.. come to think of that why doesnt Bowyer play "madness" in defence next week ?

I’d actually be prepared to pay into a pot to cover any losses incurred by the DJ after being called in for a ‘chat’ if he plays this when the shit take to the pitch against Wimbledon.
