Think we can all guess how it will finish....!!

 

Fond memories of my only trip to the Valley.
Mark Schwarzer debut (I think) won 2-0, lovely chip by Chris Waddle for one of the goals.
How far away does that seem now.

 

Can only see a comprehensive defeat unfortunately - 3-0 - and a further nail in the inevitable relegation coffin

 

Remember back in the PL when all seemed lost ....we went to Sunderland and won 1-0

If we can do that tomorrow and back that up with a home win next week I think we’ll stay up by beating Scunny and Wimbledon in last 2 games in addition to beating Gillingham along the way.

 

An improved performance in terms of effort, but the same old story, in result. Lose 2 - 0.

 

They were out of their depth but they tried hard. this lot don't give a f*&k. It would be nice to be proved wrong though.

1-4 loss, the optimist as ever.

 

No doubt it’ll be another absymal page of a sorry season. I’m trying to remember when there was any positive expectation going into matches.

 

Really?

There’s usually a sense of optimism after every win, but then we are left let down and disappointed as per usual, and every game thereafter, until we win again.

 

I admire your optimism but I've no faith in those players to show the fight needed to even give us a small chance of staying up. I expect those players to once again roll over.

 

Before every game, you hope they’ll put in a performance that says they’re up for the battle.

Then the whistle goes and you realise it’s “as you were”.

30 odd games of pretty much the same consistent crap, makes you realise that this Saturday will be the same as most game days we’ve had this season. Without reinforcements or injured players being available, it’s the same 14, same keystone cop defenders, same disappearing midfielders and same run around half arsed attackers.

The only hope is that those contracted beyond the end of the season, know that Bowyer will be here so they are playing for their immediate futures.
