    He didn’t seem to be working hard. He’d give a sloppy ball away and then just flail his arms and head down. He didn’t look a happy chappy - rather than busting a gut to prove a point with his return to the side, he looked like he was sulking at having been left out.

    It seems Bowyer doesn't rate him at all.

    First two matcha he was dropped to the bench then against Oxford he started and was subbed then against Blackpool subbed at half time.

    Now not in the squad.

    Manager would send him back to Huddersfield if he could I think.

    Well, we were certainly higher up the league at that point so I'm not sure what point you're making.

    He's also STILL our second top scorer and has made the most assists so clearly his replacements aren't doing very much either.

    Payne is a good player with a footballers brain
    Probably the only player we have with these attributes
    Rest of the team haven't and make him look a poor player

    Lots of shouts from the fans over the last few days/weeks to leave out the 'don't want to know' players and give the youngsters a chance. maybe Payne was in the former group and Bowyer thought he'd give it a shot to change things around. Any player is only as good as he wants to be.
