It's factually accurate if you take City's time since they reached League One over the last five seasons. The finishing position last season was the same as their first one in this league (11th). Breaking a run of season on season improvement.

 

If he does go we better not be replacing him with an on loan Evans

I do rate Evans but with Wyke would be a good strike force. Without its back to square one

 

He's obviously not going to sign a contract as City have announced a bid received to encourage a bidding war amongst other interested parties.

 

We need £1m, as we'll probably need to spend that on 2 half decent replacements.

Judging by McAnthony's latest tweets, Wyke isn't interested in moving to another league 1 club and 2ill only move to the championship.

 

Why must things be so complicated? Give Charlie 250k signing on fee( a fraction of what we'd have to pay for half as good a player ) for a two year contract. We get to keep a good established out and out striker and we also have a potential £1m player on our books. Simples

It's a shame Wyke is definitely leaving, but there's a chance we'll turn down bids that aren't seven figures.

It's unlikely that anyone will go above £750,000, so I'd expect Rahic to reject any such offers.

Given that nobody will match our asking price, I'm delighted he's staying.

Sunderland, Peterborough, whatever, Charlie Wyke will go to an ambitious club and do very well I expect.

We'll take our six figures, 'invest' it in more 'quality' players and hopefully our whole stupid philosophy starts to unravel.

People rattle on about how we need to sell Wyke for a profit; we should be selling every player we buy for a profit, not just the one good player they signed.

Anyway, once we've got some bang average League One forward in, I'm sure we'll supplement him with another awful, awful player from Bayern Munich II, so that'll be all right!
