Whilst I'm happy with 1m for Wyke, we will only know if it's a good deal once we sign his replacement.

 

I think the majority of us will openly say they believe Rahic has made some mistakes. Others blindly laud him because he sacked NcCall.

I get that some have chosen to walk away. I’ve never done that since starting to watch from 1986. But what I take exception to is someone who has walked away, posting on here and trying to push their negative views on others.

It’s bad enough reading Fordy’s views, but at least he ‘suffers’ like the rest of us...!

It's nothing to do with lack of ambition, its the way football works. IF a club comes in for him its pretty much nailed on to be a championship club. Playing in that division offers a wage structure that we just cannot compete with. Therefore we have to squeeze every last drop out of the transfer. The lack of ambition comes when this money is not reinvested, I would hope that Rahic would earmark the transfer fee for team building.

 

As I posted to @Bronco last night there is a offer on the table for wyke led to believe a championship club but isn't Bolton. The club want him to stay and a new deal is in the pipeline but if he refuses it he will be gone this summer providing they can get a replacement in first.

 

What a load of rubbish,Peterborough do it all the time they come in with a low bid to test the water just like with Eisa and Godden. They offered a small fee for Godden which was turned down and then stated they weren't interested then a month later upped their bid. They offered around £600,000 for Eisa which was turned down then upped it to a million , so nothing to do with Edin and them thinking we are a shite little club.

I'm a big fan of Charlie but to think he may feel he can accomplish more in a more experienced/skilful team is nonsense. This isn't Ronaldo we're talking about. Much of last seasons team would be right in thinking that there were times we could have won more games had Charlie taken his chances more and showed more enthusiasm and less laziness. He had a few awful non descript games that people are forgetting ( conveniently so ). I'd love for him to stay but i won't be reaching for the razor blades should he decide to leave. We've had bigger and better players leave and seen them disappear in to football obscurity.

 

Yes they should employ someone just to specifically blog everything that is happening within the club.

Rahic has never said anywhere that the aim of the development squad is to produce one player per season for the first 11. You've completely made this up to suit your own agenda.

 

I think Sunderland are sounding more desperate by the day. They are trying to will Charlie into their squad!! I hope just hope he stays, and we get another striker in this week.

I disagree. Wembley was a huge missed opportunity in both the short and medium term. The worst thing that could've happened to them was last summer's farcical recruitment. If they'd recruited more akin to what's happened this summer than last, we could've gone up last season.

 

Wtf? He cost us 250k, sold for 1m; scored goals. To give him a bad reception is a bit childish in my opinion

 

Firstly, he joined us from a L2 side and we only had to pay £250k because of the clause. Had the clause not existed, Carlisle would have want s more than double that.

Secondly, you don’t think his game has improved at all since he’s been with us? Sorry but he’s definitely worth between £750k and £1m

 

If he’s not valued more than half a million, we may as well keep him until the end of his contract. Letting him leave may cost us more than half a million if his goals get us promoted or stop us getting relegated...!

Very true @Fordy117 unfortunatly some fans are quite happy to use that as their main argument, he got better the more he played, he liked a physical challenge ran around a lot but to seriously think he could be any part of a sucsessful strike partnership and score goals is IMO being super optimistic.

 

Have some of you watched him he's not good enough for the championship no pace very little movement in the box and rarely scores outside 8 yards he's nearly at his peak here

 

Personally think Mcmahon has been a terrible influence on Wyke, shame he's probably too far gone to have that influence reversed. and his bite on twitter looks more like a lashing out from someone who's been caught out.

Never thought i'd be glad to see the back of him but if he's mcmahon v2.0 then we need to get rid at the best price we can get
