Well it's taken a global pandemic but finally @Loyalbantam is going to miss a plum tie if we beat Lincoln. Really needs to be him missing out and others getting in for the full schadenfreude. Fingers crossed he'll miss a few of the best home games when we split into 2 separate groups for attending.

I don’t think you can weigh the value of someone’s life based purely on age. And when you look at how nursing and care homes have been exposed, the impact to the elderly has been horrific. Personally, I hope to live to a ripe old age and as long I have a quality of life, being a ‘burden’ to the NHS won’t bother me one jot.

What I would say though, is that we know much more about this virus now than we did back in Feb/March. And the approach we’re taking now, is farcical. Protecting those at high risk has to be balanced with the massive impacts to society as a whole by locking down and transforming how we live our lives. The impact to our children’s education, to the economy and financial security of families, mental and physical health of the public at large. The ‘cure’ is worse than the ‘disease’. We need to get society at large functioning much more normally than it is today - including the attendance of people at football games. Allow people to make decisions based on their level of risk and continue to ‘insulate’ those in older age groups.

Anyways on the game - we’ve no right to expect to beat Lincoln. It’s a winnable game, but they’re a league above to be fair.

 

Great draw. Can’t wait to see a big club at VP with the possibility of a giant killing. Then we might get to take on Liverpool.

I called Boris Johnson out for what he is which is one of the worst PM's this country has ever seen. He's made 12, yes 12 u turns in 3 months. His tactic is to try to baffle his way through things, not answer questions, try get the other party to answer the question and try to get them to say they are on his side...He's a fraud!

Last week on camera he said that he would visit the victims families of Covid 19 then the next day he wrote to them and said he can't.

Now, he is ruining the economy and putting every household, i repeat EVERY household at risk.

He wants everyone back at work in offices but come Saturday you can't watch your football team..Yeah that makes sense!

Think it's time to let everyone decide how they want to live now because Boris Johnson is an utter joke!

 

Surely not your household, the man with successful business (plural) top of the range Merc and a £15,000 + Rolex watch, you'll get by .

No in all seriousness the comments coming out of the government are conflicting, I can't see my family yet I can go to a restaurant or a pub and sit amongst complete strangers.

Plus if you have seen the news recently the age range which is causing all these spikes are 18 - 29 because they don't know what social distancing is or what it's ment to do to help others but don't give a flying feck aslong as it doesn't disturb there enjoyment. I'm sure you'll be spouting some shite when leeds gets hit with a lockdown due to those holding parties like last weekend wasn't it 8 fines handed out.

 

18-29 are not really dying from it and most are not now in any age group.

My concern for football and events is that if we are worrying about things now then it's going to be awful in winter.

As for Leeds, it won't get locked down. They might just close the pubs in centre but no chance closing the City down. Bradford was done for other reasons.

As, for employment unless you are an idiot you will see that the whole economy is getting ruined and something has to give hence why they are taking about cancelling social distancing in certain industries.

 

If, and I mean IF we beat Lincoln the then Bradford V Liverpool will be on Wednesday 23rd of September.
