The ideal situation here, is beat lincoln, then the liverpool game on i follow.
I could imagine 20000+ paying £10 to watch this berween the 2 clubs. After costs and tax we could make £80000.
With income and prize money from the first 2 rounds included that could be over £100,000 into the clubs coffers.
We need as much as we can get this season, with the reduced match day takings.

But what if you were 60+? Still with 20 plus years to live, grandchildren to see grow up etc. Most people who are 90 plus venture out very little anyway. I call an attitude that says only the young matter very selfish too.

If 5000 payed and our share is approx £4 per person, with the prize money , that could be £25000.
Which is a weeks wages in the salary cap.

 

Let’s focus on getting past Lincoln City first. Liverpool is a great incentive to win this game though.

I agree and Lincoln won't be easy , they have the same incentive and are a league above us.
I was just trying to bring a positive spin on the draw. Its a real shame that we all will miss out on a possible wonder night under the vp lights.

The YNWA wankathon means id hope Lincoln give us a beating. Nothing worse than how our fans carried on over a friendly last year.
Also anyone trying to already get a break down of finances etc haha embarrassing. Firstly we now abide by a salary cap and secondly we have a owner trying to recoup some of the money he has already wasted.

 

If I was old and decrepit then Dignitas would be top of my to do list. Won’t find me being a burden on the NHS.

 

Finances are extremely important this season. 8000 season tickets less the tax, brings in less than the salary cap. So any extra from cup runs etc will help balance the books and hopefully mean we are in a reasonable position , once crowds are allowed back in full and not too deep into the owners pockets. There is a bigger picture here.

Remember Rupp is LOANING the club money and wants it REPAID it seems. Think it's up to 1.5m loan so far and if the Liverpool game made us 500k for example then it's down to 1m.

Under Rhodes you know it will be mission to get Rupp his money back because hes good like that that and think he was like that when Lawn loaned us money.

So, wanting us to get beat is stupid mate. Makes no sense. This is a miss opportunity of getting rid of a big amount of a loan that will be miss even if we beat Lincoln.

 

Look at the stats, a low % of 60’s die. Yes they may get poorly and be in hospital but are likely to survive just in the same way as if they got Flu.

We shut down the country for 3 months full stop. We turned off the nhs apart from the emergency and ICU departments. We stopped everyone going out and we only just managed to save the NHS falling over. We still came out of it with 50000 excess deaths in a period when no one did anything.
It is frustrating for everyone but it’s not only “coffin dodgers” who it will kill if it gets out of control. You’ve got to remember there was over a million on the shielded list too? I think.

I do think we won’t shut the economy down ever again for anything. We probably can’t afford to but not sure we will let the rest get on with it either
