An actual news report by the BBC that is critical of the EU and calls out some of their underlying contradictions. I never thought I'd see it!

The current situation encapsulated in under 6 minutes, the Germans and now the French say they will not be giving the vaccination to people under 65 years of age where as most of the world are together in claiming the the over 65s are the most vulnerable.
I believe Boris has said he wants the exit agreement done and dusted by 28th February, it will be interesting what the outcome may be if it isn't ratified by then.

They are just not giving them the Oxford one as they say there is no evidence it works for that age group. They are using the Pfizer one instead

    Pot, kettle, black

All you post are critiques of the EU and support for brexit. Yet claim to be impartial about the matter.

Oh my God! Shall we get you an English test?

I don't like the EU in it's current guise. Never claimed to be impartial.

I feel better having had the jab so if that is mine and the wife's contribution to getting the vaccine a positive/safe result I'm more than happy.

This guy seems to think the UK financial services won't have a problem with leaving the EU.

Barclays boss Jes Staley has urged Britain to use its separation from the EU on the back of Brexit as an opportunity to ramp up its competitiveness to carve out a new place for itself on the globe.

"I think what London needs to be focused on is not Frankfurt or Paris – it needs to be focused on New York and Singapore,” Staley said in an interview with the BBC on 5 February.
"Brexit gives the UK the opportunity to define its own agenda, and in defining that agenda around financial services, staying competitive with other markets outside of Europe is what the government should be focused on, and I think is focused on."

There is no doubt that leaving the EU is causing problems, but it is also creating new opportunities. I can't help but feel that those companies which embrace the opportunities will tend to do much better than those that spend all their time worrying about the problems.
