Seriously, so bad. He had clear options to pass the ball to players unmarked. He isn't good enough to score from there.

Been mega disappointed with him this season.

Can’t believe it’s still debated it was never a penalty, watch a PL game and VAR check these incidents 5 times a match when the ball hits a players arm down by their side and it’s never given. Add to that the ref had no chance of actually seeing the incident as there were players in the way. Even Swindon fans said it wasn’t . That said we’ve only got ourselves to blame, refs aren’t bias they are just garbage at this level the best teams take them out of the equation. You often make your own luck in sport.

I agree. Empty apologies. He had no sight of that incident and went with the away fans. For me this wasn’t just a mistake which happens but all refs should know if they didn’t see it then they should not award game changing penalty. The timing of it gave us no chance to rectify his “mistake”

It hasn't really clicked for Pereira yet has it? I'm sure that it will before too long because we know from last season how talented he is but I wouldn't be too surprised if he was on the bench tonight. I think Banks is the more obvious like for like replacement but like you, I think Angol has looked good when he's come on recently and would not be averse to seeing him take the No 10 role with Chapman moving out wide.

Eisa is clearly a work in progress and it's hard to see how he breaks in to the team whilst we're doing well unless he's utterly amazing in training but Walker's return can't come soon enough for me, he's got a bit of extra nous that's sometimes missing from the younger lads as well not being afraid to get stuck in to a tackle.

Wether it was or wasn't ref went by player reaction.

He could not see it from where he was with players in between his view

Daylight robbery in what sense? They had more shots, more shots on target, more corners. You're wearing Rose tinted specs.

We know Angol is s talented player but when he cut in from the left Smallwood was standing with no one around him unfortunatly Angol went for goal much to Smallwoods frustration.

Smallwood and Chapman were both literally 6 inches from scoring tonight-fine margins. I would be more concerned if we weren't creating chances but we are.

Yeah, I've absolutely no idea how he can give that.

    He is, AT BEST, guessing.

Whether he's right or wrong, he can't possibly know when he gives that penalty.

    Bullshit refereeing.

Add Lee Angol to the players that are free to find a new club in January.

He doesn't suit us at all, and is doing nothing.

Very disappointed with the result last night. Thought we played pretty well for most of the game but yet again very few chances created. The game changed on our subs for me. I've no idea what formation we were playing after Chapman and Pereira went off but it sure didn't work. Our fullbacks suddenly had no cover and we were wide open down both flanks. This let Swindon right back into the game and they looked likely to score well before the dubious penalty.

As a ref, when doing initial training you’re told its basically a case of you need to be certain and not be ‘guessing’ - obviously linked to guidance around positioning etc on the field to make sure you have a view of the majority of incidents.

Otherwise you need to be honest and say you couldn’t see the incident properly.

My assumption here is the ref can perhaps see (at least some of) the ball touch Halliday, Swindon players go mad so gives it. If so, that’s really poor.

I’m usually one to defend refs and try to understand how they’ve arrived at
a decision - but with this one I genuinely can’t, based on ref’s apparent view of the incident and positioning.

Pen or no pen we simply cannot rely on sub standard officials to get these decisions right can we ?????
On the whole they are very poor and it all stems from the Premier league who even with the help of VAR continue to make poor calls :( now until that’s sorted out then sadly this will continue to filter down the divisions .................. mark my word yet again come 3pm on Saturday another sub standard ref will grace is with his performance .............. we simply have to go out and win games knowing that we ain’t gonna get anything from these so called officials

I've not given up on Pereira performing this season, it's just that he hasn't played well yet.

Not sure what the problem is.

I've always had doubts over his mindset given the farce of his previous loans and the early days of his loan with us last season - but surely he knows his career depends on performing well at League Two level. If you can't perform in L2, you're a non league player.
