We hardly “went out to defend a 1 goal lead”. Learn the game.

All we can do tonight to take any comfort from a disappointing evening is see that most teams jostling for top 7 positions drew games they probably thought they would have won.
Like someone posted on social media the form of Stevenage and Orient is heaping pressure on teams like us and Mansfield.

Smallwood and Chapman were both literally 6 inches from scoring tonight-fine margins. I would be more concerned if we weren't creating chances but we are.

He's an incredibly frustrating player to watch. Clearly talented, and 2 or 3 times a games he'll do something where you think 'that's great, hugher quality than league 2' but his speed and quality of decision making really holds him back. The result is too much faff, not enough end product.

I'm concerned with how many chances we have to create for the midfielders before they eventually score!

But I agree, I'm not massively concerned about our style of play, not many better than us.

Played well tonight, probably deserved to win but we just don’t have enough goals in us. Cook has gone above and beyond expectations but is now getting tightly marked and getting little change out of defenders. Wright is doing well and chipped in with 3 already but not getting enough from the supporting midfield players or our defenders from set pieces. Oh for the days when Rory McCardle used to score from corners.

But both have 1 goal each. I like both, for the record, but we need more goals from around the side. Harratt with none, Oliver with 1, Perreira with none, neither CB has a goal. It's not enough. Doesn't make us a bad side, but we're not good enough for top 3 without tweaks or improvements.

First half he was motm but 2nd half their lad had him on toast a few times. Like I say though his 1st half was what we always see from him. Great signing so far.

Argghhhh…. Frustrating game. Swindon will say they deserved a point, and on the balance of play I agree. HOWEVER we only have ourselves to blame. The moment for me was Angol not cutting it back to unmarked players. Pass the ball man.

Haven’t seen the handball back yet, but clear foul on Oliver in the build up. Bloody referees!

Got what we deserved tonight. We failed to make first half dominance pay, 2nd half Swindon were much more positive and we were hanging on, If we had put first half dominance to our advantage and scored 2 or 3 then the referee and penalty would have been irrelevant.
Don't understand how some believe Pierra played well , he looked lethargic and lost at times actually thought he might be Ill and should have been subbed early.
Surprised nobody has mentioned the idiot than ran on the pitch after penalty award, he seemed to threaten there goalie, that could have serious repercussions for the club, what a numpty

Highly frustrating evening, far better team the first half but in my opinion we paid the price for dawdling through the 10 minutes before half time when Swindon didn't look interested and couldn't lay a glove on us.

This spell meant we coasted to half time at one nil instead of two or three up in my opinion.

The upshot of this meant they got chance to regroup and reshape their system, something we failed to react to. Hughes acknowledged this in his post game interview, but failed to allude as to why. A worrying Trend considering the same thing happened at Salford and Grimsby.

Fitness is becoming a huge issue, the same players just die on their arse at sixty minutes, it's ridiculous, these are paid footballers but cannot manage more than hour before productivity falls off the cliff.

It was one of them typical valley parade games where we just sat waiting for the inevitable.

Can't sit there and blame the referee for that, for as much as we were the most dangerous team in the first half, there was clearly only going to be one team likely to score in the second half.

I'd like to see our subs to be a bit more thought out instead of like for like every week. Our changes don't give the other team anything different to think about, it's just virtually man for man each and every time.

Think Hughes needs to shoulder some of the blame tonight, game management is so poor, while stroll around like it's game done at minutes 35-45 yet have players in such ridiculous positions strung out like the washing for the last ten

Entertaining game but should have got that all important second goal and am surprised they had more attempts and more on target than us- yet again City really didn't supply Cook with service.

One peeve for me was as Swindon went looking for the equaliser why was no-one shutting down their number 2 who was given so much freedom to get his crosses in from their right side.

Not a bad post by any means, but how on Earth did you get on to Harratt?

The lad's not playing, he's irrelevant, why do his feelings deserve discussing? He can't break into the team and will be gone in January, who cares?

He's had some chances and looked crap. He actually played in the first game of the season, so he can't moan.

    He didn't create the goal.

EDIT = oops, He did. My bad. Still needs to add more in terms of goals himself.

First 10 minutes of second half we were asleep.
    Over confident maybe. Lacksidasical.
Twice they went straight through the middle as platt got turned. They had more shots particularly in the second half and were probably worth the point as we didn’t kill them off. Why angol did stopovers when through instead of laying it off for a shot from around the pen spot I’ve no idea. Need to be more clinical.
The ref was poor. No idea if it was a pen as too far away from me. But Oliver got thrown to the floor in their box a blatant foul just as it was hooded up the pitch and they got the pen. Ultimately if we don’t kill teams off we allow for this type of issue to re occur. All in all a decent game between two teams trying to play football. Shot ourselves in the foot.
    Plan B is a Singer.
