I’ve defended GA to the hilt this season but that statement absolutely takes the bastard piss

He's shown nothing to me to prove that he's that man to take us forward. Macdonald showed more tactical nous

What a depressing week. We’ve had a few since I started in 79, but somehow this run of three games has a real tone of “what’s the point?” No one can seriously be looking forward to going to games, no one can be expected to be entertained, who has any enthusiasm? The Owner has kept us afloat, and he didn’t have to do that, but his lack of interest means a lack of direction and lack of leadership allows layers below him to work with, seemingly, no coherent plan. I totally condemn personal attacks, but the CEO is clearly struggling on the football side of things and has done for seasons. I thought Alexander would be a good appointment but some of his decisions appear questionable too, although to be fair he didn’t put this squad together. The players, well, just not enough quality.
Big changes required or nothing changes in decline of our club.

I don't hate anyone that just goes because they enjoy going to football, nor should anyone else.

If someone wants to go and watch a game of football, that's their prerogative.

But they, likewise, aren't entitled to judge those that won't go or even wish to protest.

What does it say when fans who've already paid for their tickets for the season can't bear turning up? And not in their hundreds, but bloody thousands?

You were soooooo wrong about Gilliead though.

His performances this season absolutely warrant the deal he got in the summer.

I'd never question his work rate. He's not bad in CM, but its not his best position. And in a 343, you need your midfield 2 to dominate the ball, which Gilly isn't reknowned for. I think he's perfect as a left wing back. In fact, he and Halliday are as good as we're going to get for those roles in this league.

The thing that annoyed people was the fact they postponed it at 2.00pm when 1000 fans had travelled 2-3 hours to get there, wasting time and money. Not baffling when there’s a cost of living issue in society.

Another late announcement which is infuriating after announcing earlier there was no inspection. A family of 5 of us has travelled here on the train at great cost and we wouldn’t have set off had they just said 2 hours ago. No thought for fans AGAIN

What do you expect them to do? The pitch was playable when the announcement was made at 10:15am and they don't postpone a match on a forecast for rain. If they postponed the match at 11am and the rain wasn't as bad as the forecast then you have a lot of justified complaints that they took the decision too early.

Sadly I fear our season may now be over. We had a bit of momentum after some good results/performances going into some big games with playoff rivals (Barrow and Notts). Now both of those games have been called off, we’ll have gone a couple of weeks without a game by the time we play next and any momentum lost.

Add to that the fact that we’re going to have an incredibly jam packed fixture list over the next couple of months, I just can’t see us being able to sustain the run of form required.

Sorry mate not for me, there are times when the owner has to show a little interest in his investment and not be happy just to be sustainable.

Smallwood enduring the longest 2 match ban imaginable. He might get a game by Easter at this rate

It is nearly a quarter of a century since we were in the Premier League. Even if we installed a state of the art pitch and under soil heating etc it would be no good now without big investment. The technology around pitches has grown massively in the last 10-15 years never mind 20-25 years. This was Stamford Bridge pitch in 2003
    [IMG]
There is a reason that the pitch looked fine before the Liverpool game and deteriorated massively after the Stockport game whereas for the last few years it has been great all season long. As @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler says the pitch still plays well and has been highly ranked in the last 2 season.
The issues this season are down to bad luck of the timing of the weather and how it has coincided with our home matches. If our pitch drainage was worse the Stockport game would've been postponed which in the end might have been better in the long run.

As a side note to this Colchester also off for a waterlogged pitch.
Stadium purpose built , opened 2009 season.
10000 capacity £14 million cost, built on council land with a £10 million loan and £4 million in grants.
Surely they should never have a game called off for water logging.
Nature is an amazing force and man kind can only affect it in a negative way, global warming!
If today was match day, we would have had no problems,
Sparks and Rupp ,there are lots of things they can be blamed for the weather is not one of those things.

Smallwood as captain sums up what we are. Looks a beaten man, with no heart whatsoever. That moment where Crawley just danced away from him and he half arsed his recovery run, only stopping to put a lazy leg out and concede a free kick on the edge of the box. Probably so he could have a breather.

Oyegoke - not his fault he's here, but he's awful. There won't be a worse back 3 in the National League.

We're almost back to square one but we can't keep changing the manager and hoping for something to stick.

Sparks has to go this time.
He's failed repeatedly with his appointments.

The club needs root and branch reform.
