I don't understand why we are putting the covers on, yes it will stop further rain soaking into the pitch but the forecast is for the rain to stop later tonight, no rain Sunday but minus 1 Sunday night early hours of Monday morning so most of Sunday it could be drying out then put covers on Sunday evening ?.

Artificial football pitches are not allowed for competition use (match play) in the Premier League, Championship or EFL League One and Two.

What is the saying, pay peanuts get monkeys, if we want a better product ,we should expect to pay for it, we have had the cheap football for long enough . One thing is certain Rupp is not going to pay for it.

 

I don't disagree, but in fairness to the club the pitch has been much better over the last 3 or 4 years. It looks worse than it probably is, because of the grass being killed by playing the Liverpool game in awful conditions. And you can't grow grass at this time of the year without serious costs invested in thermal UV lighting.

It's frustrating, but weather always has and always will disrupt 2 or 3 games a season.

 

I do wonder if the drainage is not working as it should, hence get the covers on to try and stop more water getting in, that might freeze good and proper come Sunday evening.
How good are the frost covers at keeping water off the pitch.

 

Sorry mate not for me, there are times when the owner has to show a little interest in his investment and not be happy just to be sustainable.
