    To be fair, it's because Hughes sounds a little like Southgate after the game claiming the plan is working, so he unlikely to put a rocket up them when he us happy with the dross, bother at club and country level.

    Watching England was like watching City at home.

    Our players don’t need a kick up the arse though (I’m the eyes of the manager), because our players are doing as instructed.
    The last few weeks of post match interviews have been much like Adams’ - no recognition that we’re below par.
    I just want to watch a game where we get stuck in, put 100% in (can’t really say they don’t do that element) and just have a good old go at the opposition,
    Surely don’t ask for much.
