Rubbish. Smallwood was banging great corners in at the beginning of the season, as a few round me commented on frequently, and has dramatically tailed off into mediocrity.

Completely disagree-he tailed off as the game wore on and had 1 shot, IIRC, in the second half before being hooked for the player who should have replaced him at half time.

    Exactly.
Twice in 4 days he did it perfectly for 2 Cook headed goals against Tranmere and Stevenage.

Exactly. It's a weird one; he proved earlier in the season how he can take a good corner. If he now has a problem in judging distances, he should take a bag of balls down to VP and practice corners for a couple of hours each week (and probably free kicks as well!). There really are no excuses for not being able to find a team mate in the opposition's penalty area from a static position.

It makes you wonder how professional footballers ever manage to move between clubs with different size pitches if they can’t slightly alter their dead ball abilities from club to club.

We are all aware of the phrase, horses for courses??
I think that is what we are this season.
Some teams will thrive against us whilst most will struggle.
Like a few have posted, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see us win our next 3 matches.

I would especially our home game :( Leyton Orient could put a massive wedge between us .........some gap is that 15 points Ben at this time of year .............. I was confident than ever that we may do something but that on Saturday just dampened my enthusiasm yet again .......... why oh why does he have to over complicate something so simple though ?????? This set up should have been binned ages ago but no he insists on us playing that way when it clearly isn’t and probably won’t :( I could see us getting 4 points out of the next two a great return if it happens but it w we I’ll be wasted if he continues to play that way at home

Its not beyond imagination that Leyton Orient could hit the halfway point on 57 points and romp to 100 points this season. In Omar Beccles & Darren Pratley they have two

Its not beyond imagination that Leyton Orient could hit the halfway point on 57 points and romp to 100 points this season. In Omar Beccles, George Moncur & Darren Pratley they have a spine most teams can only dream about

Apparently it might be. It's actually 2 yards less.

Depends how windy it is , Might need to hit it 4 yds less to travel 2 yds less

It's a bit like rocket science.... adjusting the power needed to launch a projectile the right distance with the right trajectory. Must be harder than we thought

Bloody hell. Fell asleep listening to Salford match and woke up to this thread. I thought I had slept through Christmas for a few seconds there

Isn't this FA Cup 3rd round time anyhow. Stockport are still in the competition so the game might not go ahead anyhow.

Stockport drew away at Charlton,so still no guarantee this game will go ahead.Still on the FACup,I was reading Steve Evans after match remarks, after their win at Kings Lynn. After a goalless first half,Evans said what he said to the players could not be repeated on the BBC,but his words were strong.10 mins. After the restart,Stevenage were 3 goals up.Maybe our lot could do with a kick up the arse at half time, because whatever is said seems to have no effect.
