That’s not really the situation though as GA wasn’t in place for 46 games. Over his period in charge we have done pretty well and have been mainly let down by 2 dire spells of form which coincided with a major lack of options at CM and CB. So with a better constructed squad to provide more depth to the existing team I think we’d do well.

I've seen a few of his videos, he seems harmless enough. You're right Kev I should be honoured.

He's put more good balls in that people think but as they don't result in goals they get forgotten about. Like all stats you have a look at them in context, you could have the best deliveries in the world but if you don't have the players to be on the end of it then you'll end up with very few assists. Against Salford he put in a great ball for the 1st goal and Platt should've scored but messed up the header getting lucky that it landed at Kavanagh. Also against Walsall he put in a good free kick which was knocked back across the goal and we scored from.
I was looking at the career stats of our CBs and none of them have ever been prolific, Platt is on about 210 senior appearance but only 9 goals and never scored more than 2. Stubbs is on 150 appearances and only 5 goals. Kelly had 1 good season in the Irish 2nd division with 6 goals then the rest his career is 170 appearances and only 4 goals.

 

Remember Carlisle away last season, was that what you expected a captain/leader to do SULK.

Well you’ll be pleased to know GA said exactly that on Radio Leeds yesterday - he said in no uncertain terms he’s looking at the whole season, not the last 7 games.

Honestly if your suddenly judging him on the last 5 games rather than the srason ss a whole then good luck to you i simply hope that GA and co havent also got sucked in

 

I'm judging him on his all round game over the course of the season which includes being joint 9th in the league for tackles won per 90 minutes which is a key role in this formation for him.

 

That's not unique to X mate we have a few cry babies on here who prefer to ignore you rather than debate the post.

 

Lets face it, Didier Deschamps would get slated in our team as being unproductive. I've been critical of Smallwood, but of late, in a new deeper role he has slotted in well.
