I've been waiting for Kelly to get some praise on here. Really solid CB at this level. Grown into our best CB imo.

 

The kid Palmer-Houlden he's on a season long loan from Bristol City.

 

I've been a huge critic of Oyegoke during his time here but credit where it's due he's one of the very few players for us this season that has improved the more he's adapted to L2

 

Thought he was excellent today. Calm and composed on the ball and read the game well.

 

I said at the end of last season when he was making his cameo appearances that I could see him becoming a bit of a cult hero here. I still think Platt is our best defender at the club though. I think his reintroduction to the side over the past few games has been nearly as important as Bobby's.

 

We played better when the was no pressure on us which coincided with that 30 minutes you mention as Crawley had pretty much sewn up the playoffs by that time. I saw a few positives today but also some glaring weaknesses that need to be addressed before this team gets anywhere near the 3 automatic spots.

 

What our leading goal scorer yet again , in all seriousness John he's played 135 games for Bradford City and scored 61 goals that's some record.
I'd think Andy would be the first to say he's not had the best of seasons.
We saw today with players around him to help out with the scoring, he'd be some asset from the bench but in all honesty it would be a silly/stupid manager who has a player who can hit the back of the net with that sort of consistency (almost a goal every two games) warming the bench.

 

Its who we bring in that will determine how successful we are, the current group of players here for next season aren't good enough as it stands. A lwb and a central midfielder for a start, possibly two.

 

IMO the kid grew into the game some of the stuff he was doing early doors left me a little anxious at times, but your right once he got in the game he played very well.

 

Kavanagh makes a massive difference to Cook’s all round game.
Does a lot of the hard yards that Cook had to do when he was played up front on his own.

 

I think a fully fit Pattison gets at least 10 goals this season.
When we are so short of goals in all departments,that amount makes a massive difference.

I’m with you on that Dave. He’s a gonner. Good luck on his move. Never quite happened or pushed on at all.

 

Agree, he showed it in glimpses, anyone struggles to knock him off the ball going forward. A real prospect in the making. Still a lot to learn as we say.

 

I'd have thought someone with the experience of lower league football would be more freelance, I cant see Hartlepool's having their own scouting team, but I've been wrong before.

 

Is Oyegoke contracted to Brentford beyond this season?

 

You are right Ade, their right wing back took an age. The ref walked towards him a couple of times but as you say did nothing.

 

19 goals and 10 assists for the season, 50 goals over the past 2 seasons, top scorer every season he's been here (including his first season when he was only here from January), and joint 10th all time top scorer for the club.
Not bad for a fat lad.

I though under Hughes he was played out of position when he did get game time the kid has loads of skill but for some reason doesn't do enough to get regular starts.
