Disagree they had a slow start till they found second gear but they were playing well up to half time and second half they were lightning on the break second half until we changed it a bit and played sensible towards the end. I have been critical of Hughes this season but he has achieved the minimum expected of him and despite what some say today was a decent point against a very good team

 

Lewis has the potential to be as good as him. Vigouroux has always been a good keeper but certainly stepped up this year. Lewis will learn a lot from his first full season and if he keeps working hard there's no reason why he can't improve next season as well.

 

It's our strongest area i would say although Ridehalgh struggled with the pace of their winger at times. I think he'll leave in the summer and we'll bring in someone with a bit more pace. He's done well for us though. No complaints from me but someone with a bit more pace would really bring a new dimension to us from an attacking point of view.

 

If we watch the first half highlights, they didn’t have a shot on target other than the goal. Approach play excellent but……

 

3-5-2 With a Halliday and an a left sided pacey skilful wingback is the way forward.?

Fair point but then to Hughes' point earlier in the season of 'starters and finishers' we need to play the players at the right time and for me he's better used starting and setting the tone for the first 55/60 minutes. At that point we may want to change formation or personnel anyway.

 

Think Faulds is now available now season over. He was a big part of Harrogates staying. Up and in good form over 6ft fairly quick and can play CB or full back and certainly better than what we have

 

As many on here will know I've been quite critical of Halliday. That was the best defensive performance I have seen from him...and Ridehalgh very good too

 

Where , on the subs bench ?
