I see Timothy Dieng played well for them yesterday scored a goal and nearly had a couple more would walk into our midfield. Looked a very good player from the first time I saw him play in our preseason for us eh @NorthernMonkey

 

Only seemed to play well for us after he'd been dropped. I remember SM taking him out of the team on numerous occasions to get a reaction from him.

 

Think because we signed Dieng as a 6'3 ball winning hard man midfielder, we were all sold down the river.

He's weak as piss, and seems to be better going forward.

 

To be fair Gillingham proved yesterday there is no perfect science to football. They had nothing to play for and yet went for the result after going 2-1 down.

Player of the year last year for Exeter when they won promotion Gillingham met a release clause in his contract has I said he would walk into our midfield

 

He really wouldn't.

He'd just be another old midfielder that stepped down from L1 to L2 out of necessity.

 

My main memory of him playing for us was in the 3-3 home draw against Sheffield United. He scored a goal in that match and I was very happy to choose him as man of the match on behalf of Shipley Bantams. He is a league one level midfielder. One of those players who it is hard to say what he does, but you notice when he isn't playing.

 

Don't agree. Still capable at league one level in my view.
