Because he’s constantly ineffective, whereas Gilly has had one awful game ( tonight) all season.

How long will it take you to realise he feeds off getting a reply?. Ignore the idiot.

They were, past tense. Cheaper to go bust and start again than pay off creditors perhaps?

On what we have seen from the season’s beginning he’s not good enough. He doesn’t have a position to drop into , therefore surplus to requirements perhaps?

As you can probably tell I think Gilly is a poor player and holds us back, Sutton does the basics better and will try drive the play forward, Not pretty to watch but effective,
Smallwood carries Gilly most games and when he has an off game it really shows on Gilly as he has not got the ability to lift his game to help his partner. I know you will disagree but Gilly is lucky to be playing at this level. We need a replacement for him in the window.

You might be right. Just reiterates my point that if MH isn't going to play him for whatever reason, either because he's not good enough or doesn't fit into any of the ways MH wants to play, then what's the point him being a regular on the bench.
As an aside I think there is a player there, but agree apart from The Hartlepool game he hasn't really shown it.

Only one opinion counts and MH has made it clear it is only his view that counts and he is not open to change

Which is how it should be. Wether I or anyone else agrees with what happens on matchday, a manager should never change his approach. It's upto him to get that approach to work.

A good manager reacts to the situation not plodding on when it is not working. As Ferguson said a good manager changes things before the crowd realises something is wrong. A poor manager reacts to events

A poor manager doesn't manage 400 premier League games

I don't think that MH's tactics are necessarily wrong, I feel it is more the players' inability to execute them properly is where the problem lies. I am sure MH does not ask them to pass the ball directly to the opposition, which is what seemed to happen quite often on Saturday.

Yes our tactics and formation are similar to the end of last season, nobody complained of boredom then. But we had Paudie who was always quicker to get the ball forward than our current CBs and Walker and Vernam further forward who were far more direct and risk takers. Unfortunately some of this team lack some intensity and maybe even fitness(against Swindon 3 or 4 were blowing out of their arse with 15 left) which makes it hard to play at a good tempo.

Might need to run a system update there, Trevor.

Tell me how many times Pep has significantly changed his approach, even when they haven't won the Premier League.

Our style of football under Hughes needs to be ingrained in the club's DNA from top to bottom

If Hughes doesn't succeed, his work must still be a legacy

Change absolutely nothing - continual improvement is all that's ever required

Why should pep change. He plays 4-3-3 and wins over 90% of his games. He plays out from the back with fast accurate one touch passing. We muddle about at the back at snails pace before losing the ball and hoofing it anyway

What did Hughes win in his games as manager. How many promotions and how many times was he sacked for poor results

400 games Trevor. Yep 400. I'm guessing he might be doing something right, he's 7th in the amount of games managed in the premiership. I'd suggest that stay alone doesn't make him a poor manager.

Zero promotions, guess why because he managed all his games the the PL and last time I checked you can’t get promoted…

You’re living in cuckoo land if you think any manager would get them teams he managed silverware, his job was either lower top half or survival.
