Disagree completely, Gillead has been a hindrance for a number of seasons now, he has the odd decent game but that’s as much as it gets. Poor decision making, not tackling, and poor conversion rate. East must be starting.

I can honestly say Sparkie's latest post match interview came as a surprise, it was the first time I thought he'd been at a different game to me, IMO a very poor first half performance yet he thought we did well and improved the second half we had to we couldn't have been any worse.
I was a little disappointed the bin dipper couldn't beat the also rans from Elland Road, never mind bring on Harrogate Town.

Sadly he didn't help his cause by getting involved with the Doncaster keeper and seeing red, then having to sit the next 3 games out.
Hearing yesterday part of the agreement with regards Dion coming back was he plays when fit, I can't see Sparkie agreeing to that.

Agree he didn't help his cause with that red. I've been disappointed because I thought he was going to be an important player for us. Thing is now, I just can't see the point having him on the bench. There have been games where we have been crying out to change things from the bench and do something different. If Harratt isn't going to get on in those games then what is he on the bench for.

Cook Is and has always been dangerous in the air from crosses but despite playing 3 wingers and a dead ball specialist the crosses are woeful at best

    The overanalysis begins!

Gilliead made an error like @Smartmart@Smartmart says, but it's literally the first major mistake he's made of the season, as far as I can recall. Personally I'd have played East, and said so before the game, but do I know for sure we would have won with that change? No, of course I don't.

Harratt isn't getting involved because Hughes obviously thinks Cook and Oliver are better than him. I can't see a single argument that suggests Harratt should be getting in ahead of either, even if Oliver made an absolute mess of his chance when clean through. Harratt hasn't done anything impressive, at all, during his time here, and will probably be forgotten about when he's gone in January.

I don't understand how certain players who aren't good enough to play suddenly become a real talent in some people's eyes. It used to be goalkeepers that got better the less they played (Sattelmaier?) yet time and time again when given the chance based on (as it felt) supporter pressure, those players were pap.

Good luck to Kian in his next loan.

I agree that unfortunately Harratt hasn't done anything special. But he is a different type of striker to the others. As I said in my previous post, there have been games where we needed to try something different. If he isn't going to get on in those games then what is he even on the bench for. Only my opinion but I think he offers more than he has shown so far.

Forgot to add, the loan isn't working so agree he will be going elsewhere in January

Parky played 4-4-2 long enough with Reid one side and Thompson playing wide but as a midfielder with Hanson & Wells as our striker partnership the same as McCall had Nicky Law playing him wide but as a midfield player I'm not convince to play 4-4-2 you need two wingers.

Gllead is not good enough. If we released him he would end up playing non league. We need better

Where has Eisa gone? Wasn’t he on the bench a few games ago?

Not since Hanson have we put balls into the box on a regular basis. Hughes it seems, prefers the intricate play in and around the area. We might have 3 wingers but they're not asked to play how we became accustomed to under Parky and McCall. Also, I'm not even sure if the centre halves have scored this season because even with corners we tend to try something different more often than not. Which isn't a bad thing if we score from them once in a while.

That was Gilly’s worst performance of the season so far. In fact both he and Smallwood were completely off it today. Richie’s constant over hitting of some crosses is infuriating at times.

Like i've posted before there is no chance he will slag off his side in public, especially if questions are being asked of performances, and rightly so.
We were up in arms last season when deluded Derek was throwing the side under the bus and look where his managerial skills got us.
Hughes is right to put an arm around what is a young team.

Even though he set up the goal, Wright was well off it today too.
Like Cook 1st half i don't know what he was trying to do when in on goal, and 2nd half he played too narrow which clogged up the midfield.
