Anyone a member of any of the Supporters Boards, who apparently have meetings with Sparks and City officials?
This is surely a reasonable issue to discuss?
Some form of formal process where supporters are informed of the actual potential for the game to be postponed, and are updated on a regular basis.
I would assume that the club notify the stewarding services, catering staff, food suppliers etc of the potential, also the opposition team?
This is trying to offer a constructive and inclusive process for supporters. I know @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler is involved with the club on a formal basis, and may have some insights and/or feed these suggestions back to the club.
If you want to ‘engage’ supporters and make them feel valid, then you need to have some customer sensitivity.

The amber warning for high winds is for Scotland. We have a yellow warning, but we are right on the edge of the area,so might not be as bad. Rain is heavy, and likely to continue throughout the day.

The conclusion i've come to is that the supporters board aren't worth a toss. I have absolutely no idea what the point of it is

All it takes is a quick post on the site/socials this morning saying either

"Pitch is fine for tonight, no need for inspection"

    Or

"Precautionary inspection at 3pm - outcome announced 3.30pm"

Complete polar opposite of how the club distribute information dependant on whether it’s a Saturday or midweek game……
If it’s Saturday 3pm they tend to sow the seeds the day before and call it early knowing they can’t sell iFollow passes.
Tuesday games or anything other than Saturday 3pm they are desperate to portray to fans that the game is on.
Tonight’s game 100% won’t be on but I gues ms the club won’t tell us until 6pm

Who wants to go and watch
Sh1t on a bog, can do that at home.
Just about finished with this club, primarily down to how it is being run.
Until a new regime is in place I'll support from afar.
No more money from me to spunk away.

From being open and honest at the start of his tenure, communication has fallen off a cliff. I can sympathise to a point due to the personal abuse aimed at club officials, but maybe match day updates should improve. Especially where there is genuine concern that a game might be off.

Until the club know what the referee's intentions and availability are, I'm not really sure what the club can tell us?

So after all the frost on Saturday, then torrential rain on Sunday and now today, the club so confident the game survives and no need for any announcement ??? Too many ulterior motives and zero transparency, we’re a joke club

Well they were able to call a local referee 24 hours before the weekend game. Don’t be naive that the club don’t know very well right now that the game is off.
They’ll tell us at 6pm or maybe even 7.45 if it means maximising iFollow sales

Unless it's waterlogged right now, the game as it stands will go ahead.

The wind isn't relevant, so it's purely down to being waterlogged or not.

It's barely raining as it stands, so until it actually pours it down, they can't really call it off.

What we dont want is a situation like they have in speedway, where matches are often postponed on the basis of a poor weather forecast, often days in advance, and often the weather forecasts are wrong anyway.

I reckon the pitch will be waterlogged now, and as I write this half a mile from the ground, the rain is battering my windows and is forecast to carry on all day.
    1% chance of playing.

That's so easy to do and would make most supporters able to make their own decision based on the information contained.
The club certainly don't make things easy when a little clarification would go a long long way to appease their fanbase thus stopping unwanted speculation.

That was my whole point on Saturday is that they called it 24 hours early, sent Mick out at 8am! to show it was still frozen (of course it was) , but where was he at 3pm to prove the point.? No transparency.

I think ppl can make their own mind up. We are all adults, take a look outside, read the weather forecast and make a decision. For those travelling I wouldn’t want to risk expense and time with this kind of forecast.

Perhaps he could do a live 7 hour show from the centre circle pre match for every game.

A quick walk around every 15 minutes to let everyone know what's changed should keep you all informed.

Are you suggesting that the club look out at a frozen pitch or a swamp and think, there is no way we can have an idea if this game is ok to go ahead. You are making excuses. The groundsman did a good video on Saturday showing he is fully clued up on the state of the pitch and the likelyhood of a game going ahead.

Total Disclosure - I googled it it to confirm, as I'd remembered reading it had been postponed "multiple times" and I do remember the fuss Big Gob Bond made, suggesting we should be thrown out of the cup if we couldnt raise a team.
