At the end of the day our manager cannot produce a team or style, chop change chop change. A group of people working with each other, knowing each other and knowing the system and sticking to it. It's called a team for f sake

This reminds me of when Grayson was trying to halt the slide after McCall left. Trying to find a combination and formation to get the best out of a crap squad. Maybe when Gareth Evans is fit again he can play right mid, but find a system and stick to it.

That first season was abysmal.

Luckily Lawn and Rhodes believed in Parkinson and gave him the time and freedom to craft a quality squad.

 

Parky identified the type of player he wanted and brought them in. Stuart’s recruitment has been abysmal. Watt and the lad from Leeds being the highlights. Where are the leaders who’ll grab the game by the scruff of the neck like Doyle, Jones, Cullen, Lee Evans..? Our owner and CEO have already shown their hand, it’s not about the team this season so we’ll just have to hope we get enough points not to go down.

As you say, this crazy season is about survival whether we like it or not.

The uncertainty looks to have put us off a full recruitment drive.

We definitely look like we've gone 'cheap' - and honestly, if there's ever been a year where that might make sense, it's probably the one where they're talking about the bottom falling out of the EFL altogether...

 

Haven’t we said for about the last 3 months the squad is way short In key areas? It’s a nicely written piece but it comes as no surprise to me today’s defeat. The only surprise was it was 3-0 and not 2-0 as I predicted. We are woeful.

Only just had a chance to see the goals and short highlights, what a shambles. Absolutely all over the place. The players are fortunate there are no fans in the ground because I dread to think what the reaction would be throughout the match. Some of these players shouldn’t be anywhere near this club, never mind the squad. Ever since AOC joined this club, the defending has been atrocious. BRE, French, DMH are National League at best. What hope have we got with that lot?

I can only hope the minimal investment in the team is not only down to the COVID crisis, but also because Rupp is selling up and doesn’t want to leave the next owner/manager with a squad fit for the bin on long contracts.
