There was a lot of trouble at the away match last season both in and outside of the ground.
    Arrests and a steward hospitalised

I'm not sure people are asking for sparkling football when we say "give it a go". People just want excitement and that can be achieved through hard work and keeping the game at a high tempo.

Have I missed @Steampig@Steampig opinion on whether they think Hughes will rest one of the midfielders and give either East or Chapman a start to freshen things up?

It must be my memory as i get older, i just don't remember the football being all that , but i do remember walking away from VP being utterly disappointed on far too many occasions. You do wonder why we keep going through it.
Anyhow, after a few hours at work , it's time for a full English before the game, change to the normal routine, maybe that will bring the sparkling performance. I am full of optimism and going 3-0 with a Walker meat slice in a Cookie sandwich.

Costelloe is woeful. Couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo, and consistently overworks the ball and runs in to traffic. The sooner Derbyshire is back the better

Far too sloppy and another completely ineffective attacking performance at home. This trend of crap teams on poor runs coming here and winning isn’t a coincidence. Its down to the combination of playing style and players selected to execute that style, and Hughes has proven unable to address it.

He’s mobile and a nuisance factor, but otherwise awful whenever he’s near the ball and doesn’t ever look like scoring in a month of Sundays. He’s like a poor mans George Miller, and which is something of an indictment!

Cook is saving the managers and most of the other players bacon at present (and has done for much of the season)
3 draws on the trot , just when we had chance to make a real statement - just hope Raynor asks some probing questions today of Hughes.
We are still right in there but just unable to seize the day

    Damn it.

We aren't good enough to go up automatically, that ship has sailed - not because of the draw today, but because we're too soft up front.

Andy Cook is a lifesaver, but aside from him? No threat at all.

We need a few changes to this team to be an automatic promotion contender - even if other teams slip up, we're just not dangerous enough to kill off those shitty teams we should be beating. We'll drop too many points.

So I expect it's the bloody play off lottery, which I've personally wanted us to avoid all season.

Walker was clearly struggling after that knock in the first half. Amazed MH couldn't see it and take him off much earlier.

We should of been 3 up at half time. Costelloe missed a sitter an Walker played a shit ball for Cook when it was a 3 v 2

The only thing Smallwood needs credit for is not taking root in that first half where he was stood still for the majority of it.

Exactly. Our midfield four were dreadful today. The ones numerous fans are calling for to be changed and freshened up. The ones which Hughes picks week after week.

I don't think the crowd will tolerate a slow start to the game. It’s ok having possession but I’d like to see an up tempo, front foot performance from minute one. We’re not at gung ho stage yet, but let’s put a marker down this week.

Are you ok? “Scraped” , climbed the table and lost one in 11. You really need to get a sense of proportion. Another who thinks we are entitled to win every game. It’s football, you win some you lose some.

I'm OK with him starting the same team if they are rested and show more energy than last Saturday. But as you say if it's not working he needs to make the subs early. I'm not claiming Chapman for example is the new Messi, but bringing him on in the 83rd minute is hardly likely to change anything.
