Costello's couldn't score in a brothel with a free ticket FFS!

Have you ever played football before? If he scored, you won't say "good goal but why didn't he pass it?" The keeper made a good save

In fact, I'd go as far as to say that Costello's couldn't score in The Broadway Bar up Laisterdyke.

    Obviously when it was open....;)

25 goals for Cook and hughes didn't start him in any games in January.

What makes him different from at least half our players on the pitch (selfishness/poor decision making/missing gilt edged chances the list is endless
I do think he was entitled to have a pop maybe Walker (who created the space) was in a better position but not knocking him for that he was the only one driving us forward which is what we are/have been badly missing
Am sure he won't start on Tuesday even tho he should we have a very stubborn manager who seems incapable of changing formation

I was all for Hughes having two full seasons minimum but if we don't go up, he should go

Yes. I've played at a decent level, not that it matters. He had 3 choices. The best choice was to square it to a free Cook. The 2nd to use Gillead who could then have squared it to Cook. The choice he made was the poorest of the 3 and if you go down that route, you have to put it away. Cook was fuming, and rightly so.

    Damn it.

We aren't good enough to go up automatically, that ship has sailed - not because of the draw today, but because we're too soft up front.

Andy Cook is a lifesaver, but aside from him? No threat at all.

We need a few changes to this team to be an automatic promotion contender - even if other teams slip up, we're just not dangerous enough to kill off those shitty teams we should be beating. We'll drop too many points.

So I expect it's the bloody play off lottery, which I've personally wanted us to avoid all season.

He's far from alone. And he has plenty of natural talent. Inconsistency and poor decision making is common in younger players. It's why they go on loan, to learn.

I think Banks and Chapman just should be ahead of Costello. He is really in need for a goal but we are not Burnleys apprenticeship finishing school.

We are an automatic promotion team on paper but I do not think we are good enough. I wish I could be more optimistic but I am not. We lack pace down the wings, midfield are slow; we have no leadership on the field. If it wasn’t for Cook we would be where Hartlepool are. We have no other striker that is effective on the pitch. We don’t play as a team which is probably to do with lack of leadership. The last time we got promoted from the league we had a much better team.

I think posts like this should be kept until the end of the season as we all have to stick together over the remaining games - all I will say is I posted back in the autumn that Hughes is financially secure for life and my biggest worry was his 'my way or the highway' attitude, his stubbornness and lack of fresh ideas.

If we don't get up half this team will disband anyway so who knows what will happen

Well what really took the piss for me after Cook had once again got us back in the game Hughes had the audacity to gesture to the crowd to raise their game, Costelloe, Smallwood and Gilliead could/should have been off at half time, eventually once Hughes brought Banks on we looked far more of a threat going forward, seriously at 75 I could do Smallwoods job in midfield, although not by himself how many times did he give the ball away today.
Costelloe not sure what he brings to the team certainly offers little with regards partnering Cook we looked better when Gilliead played wider on the right second half, Walker did a lot of huffing and puffing if he was injured when he ran into the advertising board he should have come off, IMO his Banks,Bola,Oliver and Critchlow substitutions were far to late in the game and once again a great chance to put our stamp on proceeding took a backward step, having said all that fair play to Hartlepools for coming and playing their little number 40 Kemp danced around three defenders (and left them on their arses) to score a great goal.
God forbid we perform like that against Carlisle on Tuesday night or it will be another piss poor home performance.

But does he do enough off the ball, your correct of course and once again he's dug us out of the mire although he could have had 4 today both Banks and Costelloe should have done better.

I thought Gillead had a decent second half and much more effective when he went out wide.

well, entertaining game , but not the final score we needed and thank god for he;s shite Andrew Ellis Cook, if he does not score , none of the other's will , no goals from any defender , bar the og by Rideaulgh. very few from midfield and its why i have resigned myself to league 2 football again next season. If we make the playoffs i can not see us winning 2 games to achieve promotion and to be honest i can not be bothered with a trip to plastic Wembley

    You finally concentrating on us?

If you had earlier on in the season then you would have saved yourself much disappointment.
