Let’s see where we are at 4.50pm next Saturday before we start writing off auto promotion chances.
We could well be 3 points behind with the Crewe game in hand

So we rest the only player who looks like scoring in a game that we 100% have to win because there is a chance Cook might get a booking?

    Ok.

    Edit.
You mean he won’t have a choice about the rest.
    Apologies.

The first thing to say about this match is Hartlepool who are fighting for their status played very well and fully deserved the draw. As for us we didn’t win a home match again for the eleventh time because of negative boring and totally ineffective tactics right from the start of the game. Unfortunately this is going to change and our only hope is the play offs and in my opinion the home form is probably going to cost us that as well. Very disappointed

Cook saved our arse today. Not sure.ive ever seen us have a more confident player strutting round the pitch. His all round game today was excellent, easiest man the match award ever to be given. Imagine how many goals he'd have in team that actually tries to create him chances.

Can someone confirm because if that’s right, we may as well just give Carlisle the points.
Who else will score for us?

Have to talk about Ryan East, from a fans point of view the more i see of him the more i want him to play more!

Adds some much needed energy and brains and did you see him gesture to the players after Cook's second goal to get their feckin' arses back to the centre circle to regroup and go for the win.
Have to wonder what Hughes doesn't see in him.

He isn't going to get a rest due to yellow cards. Once 19 games have been played in a season you have to accumulate 10 yellows before you are suspended.

Sorry yes LO did draw but they are out of sight for us anyway.

Results didn’t go our way today but either way we shouldn’t but dropping points to Hartlepool at home

I know I may be putting the cart before the horse but if we do get promoted this season and hopefully bring better quality into the squad will we see this type of football in league one, our home form but more performances have hardly been something as fans we should be breaking a gut to get down to Valley Parade to watch.

    I jumped in too quickly.
I thought he meant a rest in case he got a yellow.

Early onto the drink today mate? 5 teams in and around us drop points and it’s not results going our way, ok:thumbup:

I do agree with the last part though.

He hasn't got 10 yellows, which at this stage of the season is what gets you a ban. It goes up from 5 once 19 games have passed.

Hughes typical interview on defensive. In his eyes another opposition who have improved in recent weeks and played best they have all season today pretty much.

Taking lot of credit for tactical changes he made at halftime. Seriously what exactly did he change?

Hughes gets a pass every interview because of who he is.

A poor captain. Watch his reaction whenever we go a goal behind.
Hands on hips, looking at the floor and walking like a man lost.
A real captain gees his men up, fist pumping with "Come on, let's go again!!!"
Tossing the coin is his limit.

He's only on five isn't he?
    Unless I'm wrong, Colchester (A), Stevenage (H), Sutton (A), Mansfield (H)), Hartlepool (H)
    No ban for that!!

I think they may have come across better than they were because they came here and had a go rather than park the bus.

In truth, we created a bucket load of chances against their back line that had more holes than a sieve. Up top their number 9 was an absolute donkey who must've been on an offside bonus and his strike partner was arguably more useless than Costelloe.

Granted, their midfield three of Cooke, Sylla and Kemp had good games.

But if we were even remotely clinical we would've put 5/6 past them today and they couldn't have complained.

Yes STILL. He’s a kid , and learning. Where do you sit…the former?

I think my facts are right
Andy Cook first L2 football league game 2018 aged TWENTY EIGHT.
Costello first EFL game in the CC aged 19/20.

So you are ready to blow a young kid out some 9 years younger than when Andy Cook made his L2 debut?.

Good job you weren’t around because the current divisions top scorer would have been on the same scrap heap that you want to chuck Costello on aged 20

If a Premier league coaching and management team, followed by a CC coaching and management team think he’s worth a contract then I would like to think they know far more than you or indeed me.

    Stop embarrassing yourself.

Disagree with that. They should have been out of sight in the first half. We were poor.

We should of been 3 up at half time. Costelloe missed a sitter an Walker played a shit ball for Cook when it was a 3 v 2
