Fail to see what Kewell or Nolan would bring to the table, Nathan Jones a very good shout, Tisdale a possibility, Warnock a good stop gap until the end of the season if we can't get these 2.

 

Now 5/2. Lots of Bradford fans optimistically betting on Warnock.

 

Nothing said about who'll take charge on Saturday? Assuming we won't have a replacement in by then.

 

That's what I thought was odd. Usually at the end of those statements it will stay who is looking after players, taking training etc. No mention of Drury and there really isn't many others at the club! Either that points towards a quick appointment and this has actually been rumbling on in the background OR they don't have a clue themselves what they are going to do on Saturday.

I reckon it's probably been going on longer than they've made us aware... and maybe that's caused a bit of bad feeling in the camp etc.

Nolan was interviewed before Collins was appointed, sticking point was he wanted to bring his own coach and scout

 

Bloody hell, you go off and do a bit of work and this happens!

 

Did Swindon see what Wellens would bring or Luton with Jones.

Sometimes it's not about what you think they would bring, it's what is best for the players and i feel our players need someone they can look up too and relate too.

 

And what a right call that would of been.

Think he turned down the Wimbledon job last season, so he knows what he wants. Like that!

 

Warnock as a stop gap until the end of the season for me. If we want to appoint a permanent manager as a long term plan then it will take weeks to sort out and we will have no hope of getting back into the top 7, I'm not against this but I doubt some people will be so understanding. Quickly appointing a short term manager until the end of the season kind of solves this problem, either we get back into the top 7 and and we get promoted , in which case he is hailed as a miracle worker, or we continue to slide and he can depart on mutual terms at the end of the season.

 

I like Warnock but would it seem right only having him here 'til end of season...?

Then having to start process over again......

 

He has said he only wants 6 months, but might change his mind when in the thick of it.

 

What's that all about then? Atleast it's a question to ask at the supporters board tonight!

 

I don't think he would,just wants to get to his target games then back to the farm, (can't blame him)...

 

For me no! I wouldn't mind it but I think we need a younger manager now with a vision then work on the broad room.

It's one of them if Warnock or McCall came in to the end of the season i wouldn't complain too much but for me I would looking at a Nolan, Kewell, Jones for a long term appointment.

 

Drury must have some real good dirt on the club. Got to be the only reason why he's still there.

 

They might not have sorted a replacement just yet, so are keeping him to train the players such as it is?

 

I do some work for an hour and this happens!!

Interesting, I just hope they've got a plan - seems strange to employ a manager the minute the transfer window closes and has a strange echo of two years ago (almost exact as it was the same away defeat)

 

It means he will be sorting out his pay off or offering a different position in the club I would of thought.
