This is why I would be looking at a Nolan or Kewell. The club needs a young manager and a manager with a blueprint for the future.

Then we need to build the boardroom. Rhodes position? Sporting director etc.

What attributes do your choice as managers have that - will give City success? What is on their cvs to make you think they will be a success?

Nothing personal, he seems like an honest, hard working bloke who wanted to do well. He won't be minted from his time in the game and whilst he'll get a pay out, he'll likely have a family and a mortgage. So I'm not 'celebrating'. But I'm glad its been done. It was the only choice we had, but I still didn't think we'd do it.

Onwards and upwards. Massive, massive choice now. My first pick would be Nathan Jones.

It's already changing. Warnock has gone from 20-1 to 10-1 in a matter of minutes haha.

 

I think it's a bet like the Wellens situation.

It's kind of not about the CV, it's about the players being able to look up to someone and say they've been their done it. They can relate.

They'll have an identity to how they want to play then it also allows Rhodes etc to sort the boardroom out.

I would take McCall short term but doubt he would come back under Rupp.

Ian Evatt would be an interesting shout, doing a brilliant job at Barrow. But would we approach another club and negotiate compensation, highly unlikely I would have thought?
